Ever since Walt Disney founded the company in 1923, the studio has been dedicated to making the wishes of children and families a reality through charitable outreach and volunteerism around the world. In 2005, Disney contributed more than $190 million dollars in cash, in-kind support and public service air time.

Today, Disney is the no. 1 wish of children with life-threatening medical conditions, and Disney fulfills more than 5,000 wishes each year for the Make-a-Wish Foundation® alone. Disney strongly supports the Foundation's mission of granting wishes for these special children to bring them hope, strength and joy.

Many children wish for a trip to a Disney theme park or on a Disney Cruise. However, working with animators, meeting favorite Disney stars or visiting the sets of Disney films or television shows are also among the unique wishes requested.

Disney supports children's hospitals through financial donations, cheerful room renovations, beloved Disney character visits- including their favorite fairy from Pixie Hollow, TINKER BELL - and the annual delivery of magical toys, DVDs and other requested items. Through these efforts, Disney strives to brighten hospital stays for children around the world.

TINKER BELL ARRIVAL TO THE STAR CEREMONY

To create excitement and showmanship during the Tinker Bell star ceremony, we propose a creative and iconic arrival for the pixie fairy to Hollywood. We envision having Tinker Bell arrive to the roof of the El Capitan Theater via zip-line akin to her nightly flight to Sleeping Beauty's castle at . Hollywood spectators would see Tinker Bell fly over Hollywood Blvd. (a great visual for the media!) and land on the marquee of the El Capitan Theater. Moments later, a separate Tinker Bell character would walk out the front door of the theater to greet fans, meet Hollywood VIPS and participate in the Hollywood Walk-of-Fame ceremony.
