H stands for Home and W stands for Work for address and telephone Voter Registration A qualified voter is a U.S. citizen at least 18 years of age, a resident of Alabama and registered at a current home address. If you have moved or have not voted in 4 years, you will need to complete a voter registration form to update your registered status. Register to vote at least 14 days before an election date. Know your social security number (or the registrar will assign you a number) and the address of your last place of registration (if applicable) You may register in person at the locations listed below or your may download the registration form and mail it to the appropriate county courthouse.
