  • Thetford, Hockham, Shropham Bus
19th May 2021 Dear Parents and Carers Thetford/Hockham/Shropham to Old Buckenham High School Transport Following your child being allocated a place in September at Old Buckenham High School we are writing to you with information regarding the Thetford Buses. There are two coaches one departs from the Bus Station at 8.10am and the other from Tesco at 8.00am; they leave Old Buckenham High School for the return journey at 3.25pm. We will issue students with a bus pass for use on the coach. The cost for this coach is dependent on numbers and currently the cost is £4.30 per day from Thetford and £2.50 per day from Hockham and Shropham. We plan to adjust the costs either up or down depending on the number of students using the service, as it needs to be self-funding. Invoices will be issued termly in advance and are due for payment within two weeks. Failure to pay within the two-week period could result in your child losing their place on the bus. If you would like to apply for a place, please complete the attached application form and return to Mrs Hood at the school by 18th June 2021. Places will be allocated as per the ‘Thetford/Hockham to Old Buckenham Daily Transport Agreement’, a copy of which is enclosed for your reference. We will advise if a place has been allocated to your child, or if their name has been placed on the waiting list. If a place is allocated an invoice will be sent and once payment is received we will inform the coach company that your child is entitled to travel (in the event of non-payment by the due date we will assume that your child no longer requires travel).
