MERTHYR TOWN Saturday 28Th September – BET Victor Southern Premier League VIEW FROM THE MANAGER STEVE CONROY WALTON CASUALS v MERTHYR TOWN Saturday 28th September – BET Victor Southern Premier League ingredients in with good technical players, you will win more than you will lose. The hard work is paying off and they are getting the results they deserve, but we will not rest on our laurels and will now be working even harder to keep the unbeaten run going. Confidence is high, the boys have again trained well this week and will be looking to make it four league wins in a row. Thursday night's training was the first time we shared the pitch with the Ladies' team. Watching the ladies train, I could see why they are doing so well. They have some technically gifted players, Good afternoon and welcome to everyone even though they are a young team, still learning, involved at Merthyr Tydfil FC. Yate's best spell came towards the end of the first period with Albie Hopkins testing Alex Tokarczyk in the Walton goal with a shot from the left and Mike Bryant glancing a header just wide following a cross into the box from Sam Boulton. 2 Further self-destruction followed at the beginning of the second half as an out-paced Elliott Keightley blatantly pulled Manolis Gogonas back as he burst through on the edge of the box and the inevitable BET Victor Southern Premier League red card followed. Saturday 21st September 2019 Yate failed to put Tokarczyk under any pressure during the whole of the second half and the only attempts on goal of note were a ground shot from Casuals netted twice inside the first six minutes Nick Peare that went well wide and a rising drive and from then on always looked comfortably in from Sam Kamara that cleared the crossbar. charge especially during the second half once the home side had been reduced to ten men. Forster at the other end had a much busier time however and it was he who kept the scoreline Stephen Ward looked to be in an offside position respectable with a number of brave saves. when he was played through in the third minute but the flag stayed down, defenders stopped and In the last fifteen minutes he went full length to he went on to finish clinically. push away a shot from substitute Cheyce Grant, saved bravely at the feet of the quick running There was nothing suspect about the second goal Gordon and also kept out an effort from Gogonas. soon afterwards though. Dave Fitzpatrick carved his way through several attempted tackles during a run in from the right and when he pulled the ball back Ward calmly side-footed home. CHARITY INITIATIVES WALTON CASUALS v MERTHYR TOWN Saturday 28th September – BET Victor Southern Premier League As we head towards Christmas and colder climates, Walton Casuals are taking on a double initiative in a bid to try and give back to the local community. These initiatives will take the form of donations for the Walton & Hersham Foodbank and clothing donations for the local Rentstart. Our designated foodbank game will take place against Merthyr Town on Saturday 28th September. ‘The Walton & Hersham Foodbank relies entirely on food that is donated by the public. We supply our clients with a variety of food products, all non-perishable, to cover all meal times. We regularly experience shortages of some types of food products. When planning to donate food, please check the shopping list for the items we are short of and those we have lots of such as Baked Beans, Pasta and Pulses as we have limited storage space. Please only donate food that is well within its best before date as we cannot issue out of date food. Thank you.’ Here is a list of items the Foodbank would appreciate most and those that they have plenty of already; Our friends at Met Police FC will also be taking donations for the East Elmbridge Foodbank on the same day, so even if you can’t get to us there’s another option available. Following on from this, we will be taking clothing donations for Elmbridge Rentstart during our games against Taunton Town on Saturday October 19th and Hayes & Yeading on Saturday 9th November. Rentstart will gratefully take donations of blankets, coats and sleeping bags but will also take hats, gloves and scarves.

30 November 2017 - 3 Kerry Underwood Result In attendance – 306 Bognor Regis Town Tuesday 28 November 2017: 7.45pm Hemel Hempstead Town 1 - 0 Ibra Sekajja (71’) Match report below This week’s fixtures. Hemel Hempstead Town are away to Bath City on Saturday 2 December at 3.00pm in the National League South. Match report of Bognor Regis Town v Hemel Hempstead Town by Allan Mitchell Hemel exited the Buildbase FA Trophy at the first hurdle after Ibra Sekajja’s fine goal in the 71st minute was enough to beat the Tudors at a cold Nyewood Lane. The visitors begun brightly, and Spencer McCall’s cross went astray right at the beginning as Rocks Keeper, Dan Lincoln got to it first. Then a Bognor defender did well to deny Antonio German’s fierce strike when he slid in to block the effort. Scott Shulton forced Lincoln into the first save of the night on 6 minutes. He cut inside on his right foot before firing a shot low from outside the box. At the other end, Doug Tuck slipped a neat ball in for ex Tudor Sekajja but his cross was cleared for a corner. This was headed out but on the high rebound Laurie walker was impeded and a free kick was awarded to Hemel. On 14 minutes David Moyo beat his marker before scooping a cross back across goal. But even German at full height in the air failed to get contact on the ball and it was cleared. In an early 15th minute change for the Tudors, Matt Spring replaced Joe Howe who was nursing a hamstring problem, Hemel fans will be hoping their injury jinx hasn’t come back to haunt them.

MATCH SPONSOR THEROW VS BEACONSFIELD TOWN 20 APRIL 2019 THE EVO-STIK LEAGUE SOUTH PREMIER SOUTH Official Hartley Wintney FC Matchday Programme: £2 HARTLEY WINTNEY FC CLUB HISTORY artley Wintney Football Club was founded in 1897 and played in an area ad- H jacent to the village's golf and cricket clubs. In 1953, the club moved to its present ground in Green Lane, known as 'The Memorial Ground'. A pavilion was erected and the team played in the Basingstoke League and, later, in the Alder- shot League. In 1973, Glynn Howell was appointed Manager. In his six year reign, the team won the Aldershot Senior League three times in succession, and the Aldershot Senior Cup. After several seasons in the Aldershot Senior League, Hartley were admitted to the Combined Counties League, which replaced the Surrey Senior League. After the first couple of seasons and two changes of management, the club appointed Ian Bedford as Manager. Once again an influx of senior players brought Hartley success. Within his three years in management, they gained trophies including the League Title (1982-1983) and Runners Up (1981-1982), Aldershot Senior Cup Winners (1980-1981), and George Allen Cup Winners (1981-1982). They were also Runners Up in the League Cup (1982-1983) and Aldershot Senior Cup (1981-1982). During this period a new Clubhouse was opened. David Willoughby, the then Sec- retary & Treasurer, and Bill Mitchell, the then club Chairman and now President, devoted excep- tional hours in the em- bryo stages of this ven- ture. Further invest- ments around this time included floodlights, new changing rooms and covered seating.
