(2014) At No. 46 in the Polo Golf Rankings, Shaw will compete as the highest-ranked player in the Boys Division field. She is the highest-ranked female in the field at No. 26 in the Polo Golf Rankings. • Simin Feng, Orlando, Fla. (2013) Feng has captured an AJGA title every year since 2007 and is looking for her first victory of 2011. Whether it be on-site professional communications staff or timely results, the AJGA is ready to honor all media requests. At the event, the AJGA will provide: • Information about the tournament and its participants leading up to the event • Assistance with player interviews before, during and after the tournament • A golf cart to make covering the tournament as easy as possible • Assistance locating players on the course • A recap with results after each tournament round in a timely manner During the week of the tournament, the AJGA will have two communications representatives on hand to assist the media. These media officials will write an AP Style recap and produce agate results each tournament day. These will then be faxed and/or e-mailed to all media outlets. Interviews with AJGA Tournament Directors, Tournament Chairmen and juniors can be conducted before or after every round. The tournament website, which is linked from the AJGA homepage, includes recaps, results, list of participants, tee times, live scoring, scorecards and sponsor information. About Vicky Hurst During her time with the AJGA, Hurst compiled seven first-place titles including victories at the Polo Golf Junior Classic, The PING Invitational and the McDonald’s Besty Rawls Girls Championship en route to 2007 Rolex Junior Player of the Year honors. The following year, Hurst won five titles on the Duramed FUTURES Tour, earning 2008 Player of the Year honors. Upon joining the LPGA full time in 2009, Hurst has notched eight top-15 finishes and led the Tour in driving distance in 2009. Currently on the LPGA Tour, Hurst’s best finish came at the 2010 LPGA Hana Bank Championship Presented by SK Telecom where she finished second, just two strokes behind Na Yeon Choi. Hurst has competed in four events thus far in 2011. At the 2011 inaugural LPGA Founder’s Cup in March, Hurst donated a portion of her earnings back to the AJGA’s ACE (Achieving Competitive Excellence) Grant Program. About the AJGA The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships, and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls ages 12-18) of approximately 5,000 junior golfers from 49 states and more than 40 countries.     PARRA SETS THE PACE Spain’s Maria Parra has claimed an early lead in the race to earn a place in the European team at this year’s PING Junior Solheim Cup at GC St. Leon-Rot, Germany. The 17 year-old from Sotogrande tops the European Ranking after claiming 30 points while competing in the Spanish International Ladies’ Amateur Championship at Real Club Pineda de Sevilla. Parra reached the semi-final of the first counting event for this year’s European Ranking before losing 3 & 1 to the eventual winner Olivia Cowan from Germany. The Spaniard heads into the second counting event at the French International Lady Juniors Championship with a 20 point advantage over England’s Alice Hewson, Switzerland’s Albane Valenzuela and compatriot Maria Herraez Galves who collected 10 points in Sevilla. Belgium’s Diane Baillieux (5 points) and Sweden’s Julia Engström (1 point) were the other two eligible players to collect ranking points in Spain. The Spanish International Ladies’ Amateur Championship was the first of eight counting events on this year’s PING Junior Solheim Cup European Ranking with the first six players on the Ranking at the end of the qualification process all earning an automatic place on the European team for the match at GC St. Leon-Rot on September 14- 15. The team will be completed with six Captain’s picks. The second counting event at the French International Lady Juniors Championship at GC St. Cloud, France (April 2-6) will be followed by the German Girls’ Open at GC St. Leon-Rot, Germany (June 5-7), the Ladies’ British Open Amateur Championship at Portstewart GC, Northern Ireland (June 9-13), the European Girls’ Team Championship at Golf Resort Kaskada Brno, Czech Republic (July 7-11), the European Ladies’ Team Championship at Helsingør GC, Denmark (July 7-11) and the ANNIKA Invitational Europe at Bro-Bålsta GK, Sweden (August 4-6) before the qualification process is completed at the Girls’ British Open Championship at West Kilbride GC, Scotland, on August 10-14, 2015.
