One should be labeled with the letter A, one with the letter B, one with the letter C. Also spread out a few piles of the following K2 flashcards: apple, ant, animals, ball, bird, boat, bottle, cat, camel, cookie, carrot and K3 flashcards: baby, bag, bat, corn, and cucumber.)

Let’s help each other. I need friends to help me clean up the room. Who can help me clean up the room? (Pick up apple flashcard.) This (Point to the apple.) is an apple. What letter does apple start with? (Encourage children to say, “A.”) Yes! Apple starts with A. Do you see a box with an A on it? (Encourage children to point to the box with an A on it.) There is the A. So the apple flashcard goes in the box with the A on it. (Place apple flashcard in the A box.) Now your turn. Please help me clean up everything else. What are you (Point to a child.) going to help clean up? (Encourage the child to say what letter box he/she plans on filling. Ask him/her what letter their item starts with. Encourage him/her to say the letter and put the flashcard in the appropriate letter box.)

7. Activity 3 (Set P1 verb flashcards in front of the class.) Now we are going to play another game. This game is about things we do with our friends. This game is called Charades. You will take turns acting out things you do with friends, like this. My turn, first. (Hold up a picture card from a pile, one at a time. Make sure nobody sees the card. Then demonstrate the action, like swimming, jumping or pretending to skip. Ask the students to do the same.) Who can guess what I’m doing? (Encourage students to respond.)

OK, now your turn to do the acting. Let’s start with one student. (Pick a student.) Please come to the front of the class. Pick a card from the pile. What is on the card? But don’t tell us!
