Contents | 1 Introduction

This directory was developed as a guide to cancer services in the Goulburn and Upper Lachlan area for people living with cancer, their carers, families and friends. It is also designed to be a resource for health professionals working in cancer care within the community. A diagnosis of cancer can pose many challenges. They can range from the practical, like how to get to a distant medical appointment, to the emotionally complex, like thinking about life and death. The services listed in this directory can help with many of these challenges. To make things easier, services are grouped together into sections. You will find a list of the sections available in the Table of Contents. If you are in search of a particular service, a detailed index is located at the back of this directory. If you would like more details about any of the services listed in the directory, or are looking for a service that isn’t listed, contact the Cancer Council Information and Support 13 11 20. If there is any service missing from this edition that you would like to see included in future editions, or if current listings need to be updated, please contact Cancer Council Southern Region Office on (02) 4223 0200.
