TRUMP, Plaintiff, v. Index No. _____________ DONALD J. TRUMP, in his personal capacity, MARYANNE TRUMP BARRY, and JOHN or JANE DOE, the executor of the ESTATE OF ROBERT S. COMPLAINT TRUMP, in his or her capacity as executor, Defendants. Plaintiff Mary L. Trump (“Mary”), by and through her attorneys, alleges as follows: INTRODUCTION 1. For Donald J. Trump, his sister Maryanne, and their late brother Robert, fraud was not just the family business—it was a way of life. Beginning in the 1980s, these siblings took control of the New York City real estate empire that their father Fred Sr. had built, and exploited it to enrich themselves at the expense of everyone around them. They concocted scheme after scheme to cheat on their taxes, swindle their business partners, and jack up rents on their low- income tenants. 2. This case is brought by a victim closer to home—their niece Mary. Mary’s father, and their brother, Fred Trump Jr., died in 1981 when Mary was just sixteen years old. Upon his death, Mary inherited valuable minority interests in the family business. Donald, Maryanne, and Robert committed to watch over her interests as fiduciaries. They lied. Rather than protect Mary’s interests, they designed and carried out a complex scheme to siphon funds away from her interests, conceal their grift, and deceive her about the true value of what she had inherited.

  • Imes I Wonder What "Wrang with Me. I Keep Hearing People Soy That They Have Changed Jobs Because Five Or Ten Years in a Job Is Enough
BROOKLYN ACADEMY OF MUSIC Letter from the President ~imes I wonder what "wrang with me. I keep hearing people soy that they have changed jobs because five or ten years in a job is enough. And here I am after 25 years, still at it, and still, for the most part, enjoying the ride. BAM has changed over the years and yet remains steadily on course. The outpouring of new work by some of our "old-timers" and by young, developing artists trying their wings, and the pursuit of several new initiatives, plus the stimulation of my BAM colleagues, have managed to keep me (or part of me) virgin, available and interested. The first major attraction of my initial season at BAM was Sarah Caldwell's newly formed American National Opera Company, which featured the first staged production in New York of Alban Berg's LULU. The next season, in 1968, had the return of The living Theater in four productions new to New York. In 1969, we introduced Jerzy Grotowski's Polish laboratory Theatre in three productions, and also Twyla Tharp's company on the Opera House stage, with the audience also onstage, seated on three sides. Robert Wilson's LIFE AND TIMES OF SIGMUND FREUD also appeared at BAM in 1969. What is the point of view that informed those early years and that is still operative today? It may seem to be contemporary work by artists outside the mainstream. I think it is deeper and more inclusive than that. For me, it is the application of a critical approach informed by a contemporary sensibility, to what is being produced for the stage today.

  • Towards Sustainability in Trade, Energy and Climate
Modern Environmental Science and Engineering (ISSN 2333-2581) January 2020, Volume 6, No. 1, pp. 1-30 Doi: 10.15341/mese(2333-2581)/01.06.2020/001 Academic Star Publishing Company, 2020 www.academicstar.us Towards Sustainability in Trade, Energy and Climate Rafael Leal-Arcas Queen Mary University of London; Yale Law School, UK Abstract: This paper aims at developing effective trade law and policy instruments for sustainable energy and environmental protection with a view to advance current legislation. In the past, trade law has been a very powerful instrument for change in other fields of science. My hypothesis is that trade law can be a tool to help mitigate climate change and enhance sustainable energy. And it is well known that, thanks to trade, countries grow economically. Hence, the triple benefit of trade, which can have a positive economic, environmental and social impact. This paper challenges the view that trade’s only impact on the environment is negative. On the contrary, it takes the unconventional view that the trading system goes beyond benefiting the economy and society in that it can also contribute to environmental protection, with a specific focus on decarbonization, which is one of the main challenges humanity faces today. In this sense, my research proposes a paradigm shift in how we approach trade and develops a new theory based on the triple benefit of trade. This papaer incorporates the new trend of bottom-up, rather than top-down, solutions to today’s global challenges. My analysis of trade’s potential for environmental protection will: Shift the scientific paradigm that trade’s only impact on the environment is negative by proposing the novel idea of using mega-regional trade agreements (RTAs) to mitigate climate change and enhance sustainable energy; Explain that a bottom-up approach to governance can give us many answers to scientific issues by bringing forward the novel idea of how greater participation of citizens can be very promising in helping achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

  • Trump Trumped: President Trump Faces Both State and Family Privates Being Put on Parade As Two Injunction Applications Fail
Trump Trumped: President Trump faces both state and family privates being put on parade as two injunction applications fail 27 JULY 2020 CATEGORY: ARTICLE Donald Trump, billionaire, former TV personality, social media addict – and President of the United States of America – is looking for a little bit of privacy. But two recent attempts which might have kept the President’s privates on parade, have both failed. One is the case brought by the United States in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia to prevent the publication of a “tell-all” book by former National Security Adviser, John Bolton. The other is the case brought by Trump’s younger brother in the New York Surrogate’s Court and Supreme Court, to prevent the publication of a “tell-even-more” book by the President’s niece, Mary Trump. While these legal shenanigans concern showdowns between the President and his “work-family”, and his “family-family,” they also highlight the differences between media laws enjoyed or endured by two Transatlantic cousins, the Americans and the English. Like most families, Britain and America have had some ups and downs over the years, but there are some things about the English legal system that President Trump might prefer to the home-grown variety, especially its more plaintiff-friendly defamation laws, and its preparedness to grant privacy injunctions. Donald and defamation Not long before his election, Donald Trump lamented the libel laws of the US as he became embroiled in allegations of unwanted advances towards women, published by the New York Times.

  • Faces and Places
Faces and Places Robert Trump President Trump’s younger brother, Robert Trump, died on August 15th, at the age of 71. The White House did not release the cause of his death. The president visited his brother in the hospital just a day before his death. After college, Robert Trump worked on Wall Street before becoming the executive vice president of the Trump Organization. He also supported Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election by raising money for him and other Republicans. Friends of Robert Trump described him as reserved, and happy to remain out of the spotlight. Recently, Robert was one of Donald Trump’s four siblings who filed a lawsuit to stop the release of a tell-all book about the Trump family by their niece, Mary Trump. The lawsuit failed and the book was released. President Trump issued a statement following his brother’s death saying in part: “He was not just my brother, he was my best friend…His memory will live in my heart forever.” Why do you think Robert Trump preferred to stay out of the spotlight? Robert Redfield In a recent interview, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Robert Redfield, warned that the fall could bring one of the worst public health crises the country has ever seen. Redfield said that the fall flu season could make the spread of the coronavirus worse. He encouraged Americans to wear masks, practice social distancing, and wash their hands. He also encouraged people to get the flu vaccine. The flu vaccine is especially important this year because those infected with the flu could take up valuable space in hospitals.
