Curculionid-beetles (Coleoptera: Curculionoidea) is the largest superfamily in Arthropoda with a number of important agricultural pests within the taxon. The fauna of Iranian Curculionoidea including the families Anthribidae (3 species), Rhynchitidae (15 species), Attelabidae (2 species), Brentidae (76 species), Brachyceridae (2 species), Dryophthoridae (8 species) and Curculionidae (651 species) is discussed in this paper. 757 species from 245 genera are listed with 61 new records for the fauna of Iran. -

It is known as vector of some diseases as well as a nuisance insect. A successful control campaign needs to study the biology, ecology and suscep- tibility status of the target pest. The aim of this study was to investigate the susceptibility status of Culex pipiens to some insecticides recommended by WHO in north of Iran. Methods: Larvae were collected from different breeding places in Sari County by standard dipping method. They were reared to adult stage in an under standard condition. World Health Organization (WHO) standard test kits and the diagnostic dose of 12 imagicides were used for adults, while two larvicides were used against larvae. -

It is now more certain than ever and poses a serious threat to sustainable urban development. Climate change has many destructive effects on cities. Land subsidence, rising air pollutants, severe storms, dust and water scarcity are just some effects of this phenomenon in the urban area of Tehran. Urban management must be prepared to deal with these effects and adopt policies to mitigate and adapt to climate change. One of these tools in urban planning is urban development plans. The plans can have a great impact on controlling and counteracting with the effects of climate change. In this re- search, using content analysis method, 6 dimensions and 31 indicators have been used to evaluate 8 city and region development plans of Tehran from the view of reflecting the effects of climate change. Indicators were scored after studying the content of the plans. Findings indicate that among the reviewed plans, the second and third five-year development plans of Tehran with 61.9% and 61.3% as the highest rate and plan to reduce air pollution in Tehran and the transportation master plan with 20.6% and 23.2%, respectively have the least attention to the effects of climate change. -

Iran ABSTRACT In this paper, the strong motion accelerograms of October 17, 2009, Tehran-Ray earthquake (MW = 4.0) of south of Tehran were analyzed. (i) Using derived SH-wave spectral data, at first the parameters (long period spectral level), f (corner Wo c frequency) and Q(f) (frequency dependent, average shear wave quality factor), appropriate for the best-fit Brune w-2 spectrum of this event were estimated. Then a non-linear least square analysis of the SH-wave spectral data was performed to provide objectively approximate near field estimates of the strike, dip and rake of the causative fault. Based on this analysis, the first fault plane solution has been presented for this event, which may be related to Eyvanaki fault closed to Tehran. Jamalou Received: 25 August 2016 ; Accepted: 18 January 2017 Abstract Municipalities as well as any other organization have needed assessment and efficiency measurement to make better use of their limited resources and greater effectiveness. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficiency of municipalities, determining efficient and inefficient municipalities using data envelopment analysis, and classifying the municipalities using Anderson Peterson techniques. On this basis, the efficiency of 10 west Guilan municipalities of Urban services section have examined and evaluated in 1393 each with three inputs and seven output. Finally, according to conducted analysis and using GAMS software among DEA various models, CCR model of envelopment form of input oriented in order to evaluate efficiency and specifying efficiency of the units. The results of CCR model indicated that units 3,4,6,7 are efficient and units 1, 2,5,8,9 are inefficient. Thus, we have used Anderson-peterson (AP) approaches in order to determine efficient units final ranking. This study aimed to identify the high-risk areas of TB and other related factors of it in an epidemiological study. Materials & Methods: In this retrospective study, the records of 1566 TB infected patients in healthcare centers of 17 cities of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences were investigated during 2009-2013 years. Information of patients was gathered using a check list. The collected data was then analyzed using chi-square. Results: The mean age of the patients was 46.17± 20.6 years. The 5-year incidence rate was 12.14 in 100,000 populations. Cities in the east of Province (Sari, Behshahr, and Neka) had highest incidence rate (about 16 cases in 100,000 population).
