Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean, Coordinating Minister for National Security, Minister for Home Affairs and Member of Parliament for Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC (Pasir Ris West), was the special guest for the Christmas Gift Of Love event held at Park View Primary School. Deputy Prime Minister Teo said, “I am very heartened to see how the Government and our Community Groups can work together to give back to our community in meaningful ways, regardless of race or religion.” At the Christmas Gift Of Love event, over 300 people from more than 80 families from Pasir Ris West Constituency were treated to a sumptuous halal nasi biryani lunch followed by a programme featuring multi-ethnic performances in Singapore’s four official languages – English, Malay, Mandarin and Tamil. Every family was also presented with gifts of daily essentials in a foldable shopping trolley. Annex A Open Clusters Epidemiological investigations and contact tracing have uncovered links between cases. i. 6 of the confirmed cases (Cases 63131, 63184, 63185, 63186, 63187 and 63188) are linked to the Case 63131 cluster, with the most recent cases (Cases 63184, 63185, 63186, 63187 and 63188) linked to the cluster on 13 May. Case 63131 is a 50 year-old female Singaporean who works as a tutor at Learning Point. She was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 12 May. Cases 63184, 63185, 63186, 63187 and 63188 are students at Learning Point. ii. 3 of the confirmed cases (Cases 63096, 63122 and 63221) are linked to the Case 63096 cluster, with the most recent case (Case 63221) linked to the cluster on 14 May. Case 63096 is a 33 year-old male Philippines national who works as an operating theatre nurse at Sengkang General Hospital. He was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on 11 May. Vessel/Water Activities/Fishing Guidelines General 1. When having water activities in reservoirs, what are the social etiquette to watch out for? Rain water collected at our 17 reservoirs is one of our sources of water supply. Let’s do our part to keep the catchment and reservoir clean. 1) Do not litter in drains, canals and rivers as they channel rainwater collected to our reservoirs. 2) Do not discharge any kind of used or waste water into the reservoir. 3) Do not urinate/spit into the water. 4) Do not disturb creatures big or small in the water or at the reservoir parks. 5) Smoking is not allowed at reservoirs. 6) Fishing is only allowed at designated fishing areas. You should also only use artificial baits. 2. What are the safety guidelines for at the reservoirs? Be a responsible reservoir user and follow the safety guidelines below. Please be familiar with the safety guidelines before carrying out any water activities in the reservoir. If there is a safety briefing before an activity, please attend it. Know your limits Do not participate in any activities if you are unwell, under medication or under the influence of alcohol. Stop any activities if you are feeling fatigue. Do not carry out activities beyond daylight hours (7pm-7am) or during bad weather. Do paddle within your limits. Fishing 3. Which are the reservoirs open to fishing? Singapore Raptor Report February 2020 Common Buzzard, juvenile pale morph, at Bedok North Avenue 3, on 27 Feb 2020, by Danny Khoo Summary for migrant species: In February 2020, 126 raptors of 10 migrant species were recorded. A scarce Common Buzzard perched on top of a HDB apartment block at Bedok North Avenue 3 was photographed by Danny Khoo on the 27th. A single dark morph Booted Eagle was photographed in flight at Coney Island on the 23rd by Yip Jen Wei, who also photographed a Grey-faced Buzzard at Puaka Hill, Pulau Ubin on the 29th. Three Chinese Sparrowhawks were recorded, one at Pasir Ris, one at Lorong Halus – Coney Island area, and one female wintering at Ang Mo Kio. Of the six Jerdon's Bazas, five were recorded in the Lorong Halus – Coney Island area between the 7th to the 22nd, and one at Pulau Ubin on the 23rd. At our coastal areas, six Western Ospreys were recorded, including one at Lorong Halus on the 25th, mobbed by a Peregrine Falcon. As for the Peregrine Falcons, seven were recorded around the island, including one that mobbed an Oriental Honey Buzzard at Lorong Halus on the 25th. Page 1 of 9 Nine Japanese Sparrowhawks were recorded, all singles, at various localities. Rounding off the migrant raptors were 45 Oriental Honey Buzzards and 47 Black Bazas, including a flock of 14 at Kranji Marshes on the 28th. Grey-headed Fish Eagle, flying off with a Cinnamon Bittern that it had caught in the river, at Pandan River, on 18 Feb 2020, by Yeak Hwee Lee. -
