Notice of a Public Open House for a New Official Plan for the Desbarats to Echo Bay Planning Board The Desbarats to Echo Bay Panning Board, at the request of the Townships of Johnson, , Laird and Macdonald, Meredith and Aberdeen Additional, has initiated a work program to prepare an Official Plan for the four municipalities that make up the Desbarats to Echo Bay Planning Board. An Official Plan is a policy document the municipalities and the Planning Board that establishes policies for the use and management of land. The new Plan will be prepared to reflect current Provincial planning requirements, environmental features as well as policies that support future opportunities for economic growth and development in the area. Interested members of the public are welcome to attend an Open House to review and discuss this important community project. The Open House will be held on Tuesday, April 30th, 2019 from 5-7pm at the Laird Township Hall located at 3 Pumpkin Point Road. This is the first open house for the new Official Plan.
