Amen. *** ACT OF CONTRITION (To be recited daily) Oh, my Dear Jesus! You are our King and our God, because of Your love for us You came down from heaven born of the Virgin Mary. My heart weeps, for in spite of Your goodness we have committed many sins. Forgive us, Oh Jesus, for our sin of ingratitude in return for Your goodness. Strengthen our will to resist temptation and sin. With Your Grace we will be able to fulfill our promises and share with Your glory in heaven. Oh, Holy Child Jesus, who is ever good and loving, we kneel before You, our true God. With humility we implore You to give us Your mercy and grant us all the favors we ask of you in this NOVENA, so that we will enjoy the blessings of heaven. AMEN. *** FIRST DAY PETITION Oh, ever-wise Jesus, who, in Your wisdom, had sent zealous missionaries to our humble shores to preach the Gospel to our forefathers so that they would see the LIGHT and embrace the CATHOLIC FAITH, we humbly ask You to give us a living Faith so that we may always please You in all that we do.

  • 54 Day Rosary Novena in Honor of Our Lady of Pompeii
54 Day Rosary Novena in Honor of Our Lady of Pompeii The most powerful prayer offered to Our Lady, Mediatrix of All Graces, to obtain extraordinary graces. As promoted by Blessed Barto Longo 1841-1926 (former satanic priest who converted to the Roman Catholic Church became a Third Order Dominican, dedicating his life to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Rosary) Pray this first part in petition for 27 days Make a list of petitions (graces) you are asking Our Lady’s intercession for and present them to her with confidence! Put the image of the Virgin of Pompeii on display and, if possible, light a candle as a symbol of the faith which burns in your heart. Then take the Rosary beads in your hands. Before beginning the Novena, pray to St. Catherine of Siena that she may graciously deign to join you in prayer. O Saint Catherine of Siena, my Protectress and Teacher, who from Heaven assists your devotees when they recite the Rosary of Mary, come to my aid in this moment and deign to recite with me the Novena to the Queen of the Rosary, who has established the throne of her graces in the Valley of Pompeii, that through your intercession, I may obtain the grace I desire. Amen. O God, come to my assistance. O Lord, make haste to help me. Glory be to the Father... I. – O Immaculate Virgin and Queen of the Holy Rosary, in these times of dead faith and triumphant impiety you wished to establish your throne as Queen and Mother in the ancient land of Pompeii, the resting place of dead pagans.

With grateful joy and holy fear God’s charity we learn; Let us with heart and mind and soul now love God in return. My life flows on in endless song above earth's lamentation. I hear the real though far-off hymn that hails a new creation. No storm can shake my inmost calm while to that rock I'm clinging. Forgive we now each other’s faults as we our faults confess; Since Christ is Lord of heaven and earth, how can I keep from singing? And let us love each other well in Christian holiness.

  • Fifty Four Day Novena
FIFTY FOUR DAY NOVENA Origin In an apparition of Our Lady of Pompeii, which occurred in 1884 at Naples, in the house of Commander Agrelli, the heavenly Mother deigned to make known the manner in which she desires to be invoked. For thirteen months Fortuna Agrelli, the daughter of the Commander, had endured dreadful sufferings and torturous cramps. The most celebrated physicians had given up. On February 16, 1884, the afflicted girl and her relatives commenced a novena of Rosaries. The Queen of the Holy Rosary favoured her with an apparition on March 3rd. Mary, sitting upon a high throne, surrounded by luminous figures, held the divine Child on her lap, and in her hand a Rosary. The Virgin Mother and the Holy Infant were clad in gold embroidered garments. They were accompanied by Saint Dominic and Saint Catherine of Siena. The throne was profusely decorated with flowers; the beauty of Our Lady was marvellous. Mary looked upon the sufferer with maternal tenderness and the patient saluted her with the words: “Queen of the Holy Rosary, be gracious to me; restore me to health! I have already prayed to thee in a novena O Mary, but have not yet experienced thy aid. I am so anxious to be cured!” “Child”, responded the Blessed Virgin, “thou hast invoked me by various titles and hast always obtained favours from me. Now, since thou hast called me by that title so pleasing to me, ‘Queen of the Holy Rosary’, I can no longer refuse the favour thou dost petition; for this name is most precious and dear to me.
