My sincere wishes go to the winners of the Hockey India 2nd Annual Awards 2015. I would also like to congratulate the Senior Men’s team for an astonishing performance at the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup Malaysia and returning with the Silver Medal. For me the victory lies in the overall improved performance of the team. They marked an emphac win against host country Malaysia and Pakistan. Apart from the seasoned players, I am really impressed by the young lads and the zeal they add to the team. Here again wishing the team good luck for the upcoming Champions Trophy in London, I am confident that will put forth a good show. Most importantly, I believe grassroots development and administraon are always the core of success. I would like to congratulate all the teams who parcipated in the 6th Hockey India Naonal Championship, I was thrilled to witness such passion and great performances by the talent we have in every corner of the country. First and the key step towards success begins with right administraon and we hope serve as an inspiraon to others with the kind examples we set to promote Indian Hockey. For the first me, we implemented the Tournament Management System (TMS) for quality insights and live reporng of the 6th Hockey India Naonal Championship in the category of Senior Men and Women. This kind of technology is used by FIH. We believe in seng the foundaon strong for the overall development of Hockey with this being one of the many steps we took this year. Providing talent with the right kind of infrastructure and training is our utmost priority. With almost two months le for Rio Olympics, my hearest wishes go to the Men’s and Women’s team undergoing rigorous training at SAI Centre, Bengaluru. We have some extremely crucial Internaonal matches coming up ahead of Rio with all eyes set on the teams for their performances. But what makes me proud is the fact that the teams are now hungry to win, to perform beer, to work as a unit and rise higher than before. We have le no stone unturned to boost the morale of the players and provide them with the right guidance. The teams have equally honored the efforts of the management by pung a lot of sweat and blood in bringing out their best. There is a long way to go but we are surely headed in the right course.
