From the second you arrive at Trequite Chapel, the sense of magic will enshroud you. The surroundings, the attention to detail, the history and the beautiful touches all around the house, combine to provide a truly unique, wonderful property that is wholly unforgettable.

This charming holiday home was converted from a former chapel, originally built in 1821. The high beamed ceilings, stone walls and slate floors all speak to the chapel’s past, whilst the reclaimed wood and stone that feature throughout the modern additions tie old and new together elegantly. This stunning, four-bedroom holiday home can comfortably accommodate up to nine guests, perfect for family gatherings or a break away with friends. We can almost guarantee that you’ll be wanting to revisit this stunning property time and time again, soaking in a little more of the magic and inspiration each time you stay.

The ground floor boasts the main living areas, with a modern family kitchen and dining area, as well as a fabulous lounge. A stone wall divides the two spaces, with an open doorway, so you can walk between them unobstructed. In the living room, the high ceilings are supported by beautiful exposed beams. Modern skylights flood the room with light, whilst rough, textured walls add a warmth and cosiness to the otherwise bright and spacious room. A wood burning stove and large sofas furnish this remarkable space.

The four bedrooms are spread around the property, with a bunk bedroom and a bathroom completing the ground floor. On the lower ground floor, there is a stunning en-suite double bedroom featuring full height chapel style windows overlooking garden. From the mezzanine level in the house, another double bedroom can be accessed, with the same full height windows capturing another striking view of the garden. The top floor of the house boasts the final double bedroom and a children’s area with a TV, games and space to play. With its own games room, 6ft pool table and FAT BOY bean bags, there is plenty in the house to keep everyone, of all ages amused and happy!

Trequite Chapel is located in the small hamlet of Trequite, a short distance away from the renowned delights of the North Cornwall Coast. The area itself is calm and tranquil, a real escape from the world. Yet this quiet hamlet puts you in a great spot for exploring the very best Cornwall has to offer. Whether you want to walk, surf, or learn the rich heritage of Cornish culture, there is something for everyone.

Cornwall has long been known for its endless blue skies, glistening beaches and wildflower-strewn clifftops. Famed for its warm climate, diverse Celtic heritage and wealth of arts and archaeology. So, whether you are looking to explore the natural landscapes of the area, or the pretty beach towns and country villages, Trequite Chapel is the perfect base.

Tintagel Castle can be found less than a 30-minute drive from the Chapel. Thought to have been the birthplace of King Arthur with its rugged, cliff-top backdrop, it is a fun and fascinating place to stop off for a visit.

The fabulous beaches at Rock and Polzeath are only a 15-minute drive away, the historic fishing port of is a further 10-minute drive. Surfers and families alike flock to Polzeath beach, with plenty of food stops and a long stretch of shoreline, you can spend all day in this beautiful spot. There are several surf schools you could hire boards from, as well as fishing spots. The Pentireglaze national trust headland stretching out beyond the beach, with walking trails for you to follow, taking in some of the best views this coastline has on offer. Cornwall also offers a popular rock-climbing scene, as well as cycling both on and off road, so the whatever your vice, all active lovers will be kept well entertained.

For food lovers, the Chapel is only a 10-minute walk from the award-winning Inn and only a 10-minute drive from Port Isaac where Michelin Star chef Nathan Outlaw has opened his second Fish Kitchen. Of course, Cornish pasty are a local favourite and Cornish ice cream is the perfect accompaniment for an afternoon in your garden!
