In the shift to digital formats, we lost physical artifacts but gained data as a rich, but often hidden artifact of our music listening.     04-03-2015 10:59 CET Cashmere Cat med ny singel Magnus August Høiberg fra Halden er Cashmere Cat. Et hett navn for tiden som har stor suksess som dj og produsent. Han har jobbet med navn som Kanye West, Ryn Weaver, Jerimih, Ludacris, Tinashe, Charli XCX og Ariana Grande og produsert med blant andre Benny Blanco og Stargate. Nå er han klar med den nye singelen "Adore". Vokalen har Ariana Grande. De to har tidligere jobbet sammen på Grande sin låt "Be My Baby". Cashmere Cat co-produsert Kanye Wests "Wolves" med Sia og Vic Mensa. Låten ble første gang fremført under Wests Adidas Originals moteshow 12 februar i New York. For øyeblikket er han med Grande på hennes USA turné. Ett av stoppene på veien er New Yorks Madison Square Garden, noe som ikke er vanlig kost for en nordmann. For utenom turné med Grande, kan han oppleves på Coachella og Ultra Music Festival. Fredag 24 april spiller Cashmere Cat på Vulkan Arena i Oslo og til sommeren tar han turen til Tønsberg og Slottsfjellfestivalen. Broman, Advisor In their book Ten Little Title Tunes: Towards a Musicology of the Mass Media, Philip Tagg and Bob Clarida build on Tagg’s previous efforts to define the musical affect of popular music. By breaking down a musical example into minimal units of musical meaning (called musemes), and comparing those units to other musical examples possessing sociomusical connotations, Tagg demonstrated a transfer of musical affect from the music possessing sociomusical connotations to the object of analysis. While Tagg’s studies have focused mostly on television music, this document expands his techniques in an attempt to analyze the musical affect of Howard Shore’s score to Peter Jackson’s film adaptation of The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. This thesis studies the ability of Shore’s film score not only to accompany the events occurring on-screen, but also to provide the audience with cultural and emotional information pertinent to character and story development. After a brief discussion of J.R.R. Tolkien’s description of the cultures, poetry, and music traits of the inhabitants found in Middle-earth, this document dissects the thematic material of Shore’s film score.

Watch Yourself In 1949, legendary blues guitarist Riley B. King, otherwise known as B.B. King, played a dance hall in Twist, Arkansas. During a scuffle between two patrons fighting over a woman, a barrel of lit kerosene used to heat the venue was knocked to the ground, and set the building ablaze. The show was evacuated, only for King to realize he'd left his Gibson inside, who dove back in to retrieve it. King would later name that first guitar and every forth-coming guitar Lucille, after the woman the two patrons fought over. Fast-forward to 1968, when B.B. King released the album Lucille, (Produced by jazz/blues production legend Bob Thiele) and told the story in full on the eponymous title track. Since that time King has owned a slew of other guitars, all of them named Lucille, and has a deep-seated appreciation for each one. As he says on the album's title track: "I’ve had many guitars since that first incident, and I always call them Lucille. She’s taken me a long way, even brought me some fame...Most of all, she’s kept me alive...being able to eat." Lucille represents early B.B. King at his finest. It's the last traditional blues album before 1969's Completely Well would establish a trademark brand of blues music mixed with lushly arranged string ensembles.
