EXCELLENTISSIME (9) won by a wide margin at this venue at the end of July. Remains in the same class and is the one to beat. DAYSTAR (2) races second up after being DQ first outing. Forgive that effort and consider. ECRIN DE GRIMOULT (1) could sneak into the placings.

1. SATISFIED - Filly by Elusive City. Doesn’t have the best pedigree page amongst this field but yard can ready one. Market check advised.

2. ISRAAJ - Speedily bred daughter of Helmet. Expected to be primed for debut and could play a part at the finish.

3. VOLER DE NUIT - Related to four winners including a debutant scorer. Family have historically been ready to show best early so look to keep safe in this field.

4. QUARTILLA - First race starter by Elusive City out of Quamoclit. Drawn well and no surprise to see her play a part here.

5. DREAM OF CHANGE - Is bred to have ability and has eye-catching jockey booking. Shortlist.

6. GLORY LIGHT - Is related to winners. On breeding this trip looks perfect and she should be fit for debut. Potential threat to all.

7. LOULIANA - Debutant by Acclamation. Top jockey booked and yard can ready one for debut. Interesting.

8. MANIMA - Inexpensive purchase for yard not associated with debut winners. Likely best watched.

9. MINOU - Two-year-old filly by Sommerabend. Place may prove best in this field.

10. GENETIQUE - Debutant by Anodin. Should relish these conditions and expected to take a role in the finish.

11. VANOUCHE - Is seemingly owners second string as retained rider instead rides Genetique. Both siblings have won however so hard to entirely rule out.

12. ABFAB - First time starter by Siyouni. Handy apprentice claim but may well want further than this in time.

Summary

In a field of debutantes a market check is advised. GENETIQUE (10) is expected to enjoy these conditions. Receives a wide stall but is retained jockeys choice and looks is the one to beat first up. ISRAAJ (2) represents top

1. ZEYREK - Represents top connections and is a perfect two from two. Stayed on well for 1.5L victory at Dieppe last time and will love the extra distance he now gets. Threat to all.

2. BLACKWOOD - Showed improvement when going clear for 2.5L win at Les Sables-d’Olonne. This is significantly tougher however and place may prove best.

3. MANOUCHEER - Both runs so far have come in Germany so brings completely different form lines. Clearly highly regarded but this looks tougher. Best watched unless seeing significant market push.

4. STEP BY STEP - Improving rapidly at present.went clear for 2.5L victory at Toulouse in this grade last time. This marginally tougher but should give another bold showing.

5. MYKISS - Non runner.

6. MEASURE OF TIME - 1.15 third at Longchamp in a G3 last time. This easier now and can improve again. Solid pick.

7. MENSEN ERNST - A talented and consistent colt. Won and placed already this campaign and now third up should be primed to strike.

Summary

MEASURE OF TIME (6) drops in grade having placed in a G3. With only three career starts is open to any amount of improvement. The one to beat. ZEYREK (1) is a perfect two from two. Limits unknown at this stage and deserves his place in this better grade. Keep safe. STEP BY STEP (4) won three of four attempts this campaign including when going clear at Toulouse in this grade. Clearly in great form and looks a solid pick. MENSEN ERNST (7) will enjoy conditions. Maintains an honest overall record. Each way.

3. PALUS ARGENTEUS - Three placed finishes from four starts this campaign. Beaten only a head last time so does not need to improve much to break through. Keep safe.

4. FAROUT - Inconsistent type. Drops back to preferred distance and threat to all if showing best form.

5. TERRE DE FRANCE - 2.75L third at Compiegne in this grade. Clearly in good form and should give another bold showing.

6. GO WITH THE WIND - Only modest form figures this campaign and is likely best watched.

7. BADEN ROCKS - 5.25L fourth at Compiegne. Must improve a little on that run.

8. MINOTAUROS - Below best recently and must re-find top form if he is to play a part at the finish.

9. SIYOUZONE - Game nose winner two starts back but well beaten only start since. Must bounce back.

10. THE GOOD MAN - Beaten narrow margins into second on past two starts. Looks overdue a victory and rates well in this field.

11. KAHUNA - Shed maiden tag when 1.5L winner La Teste. Faces tougher task here but hard to rule out.

12. CRISALSA - Game 2L winner at Saint Cloud two starts back. Only a modest run since and this level is too tough.

13. MERCI POUR TOUT - Progressing steadily with racing this campaign. Beaten 1.1L into fourth at Chantilly last time and can do better yet. Each way chance.

14. ZORMY - Inconsistent gelding. Looks up against it in this grade.

SHARIQ (1) Is improving all the time. Top jockey booked and was unfortunate not to land second straight success when beaten a nose. The one to beat. THE GOOD MAN (10) was a head second at Longchamp in a similar race. Suspicion everything went right for him that day. Good chance again. PALUS ARGENTEUS (3) finished second on three of his past four attempts. Overdue a win on that form can go well once more. TERRE DE FRANCE (5) placed in this grade and is progressing. Keep safe. 2. SPACE BLUES - Thriving this campaign and has won all three starts. 2L win in G2 Glorious Goodwood last time and interesting top UK trainer brings him over for this. Keep safe.

3. HELLO YOUMZAIN - Game head winner on reappearance in G1 Diamond Jubilee at Royal Ascot (1200m) but didn’t run to same level when only mid-field last time in G1 July Cup (1200m). Will enjoy conditions and should make a bold bid.

4. BATWAN - Has a lot to find with many of these based on 1.95L fourth in G3 at this track last time. Best watched.

5. SPINNING MEMORIES - Has been freshened since gamely holding rivals for 1L victory in a G3. Is improving with racing and with leading rider can play a role.

6. WOODED - Impressive winning reappearance Chantilly G3 1200m then 3.5L fourth G1 Prix Jean Prat (1400m). Must improve again. Place.

7. GOLDEN HORDE - Impressive 1.5L winner of G1 Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot 12000m on reappearance. Followed up with third July Cup 1200m Newmarket. That form is strong and makes him the horse to beat.

8. LOPE Y FERNANDEZ - 0.75L second G1 Prix Jean Prat 1400m on this course last time looks strong form. Often travels well before not finding much off the bridle. Leading stable. Has claims.

10. EARTHLIGHT - Undefeated and winner of two G1 races including on this course last season. Impressive 2.5L Listed winner 1200m on reappearance last month. Appears to be back to his best. Horse to beat.

11. RESHABAR - Won on reappearance but struggled both runs since. Up against it in this field.

Summary

EARTHLIGHT (10) boasts an unblemished six from six record. Winner of two G1's including on this course. This high class colt showed he was over injury

setback when a 2.5L Listed winner on reappearance and is sure to improve from that run. The one to beat. SPACE BLUES (2) is thriving having won all three starts including impressively in G2 last start. Can continue to progress is a solid pick. GOLDEN HORDE (7) found success in 3yr old Royal Ascot G1 over 1200m on reappearance. Followed up with G1 third in open company at Newmarket. One of the key chances. HELLO YOUMZAIN (3) holds decent winning record. This likable tough front runner is sure to make another bold bid.

1. LAZULI - UK trained. Disappointed when only mid-field in G3 last time but better than that. Easier here. Threat to all.

2. BOTCH - Went clear for impressive 3L win at Saint Cloud 1300m. This is tougher now but improving type worth holding safe.

3. ROYAL COMMANDO - Just missed the placings G1 Commonwealth Cup at Royal Ascot on reappearance. Disappointed only start since but can bounce back. Good chance.

4. MAYSTAR - UK trained. Has been below best this campaign. Must bounce back.

5. DREAM SHOT - UK trained. Has placed twice this campaign and 3.25L fifth G3 Newcastle (UK). Rates well on best form and can continue to progress.

6. DIGRESSION - 0.5L winner at Angers on reappearance. Placed in a listed race since and should remain in good form. Interesting.

7. GALADRIEL - UK trained. Only mid-field on reappearance and if anything this is tougher. Needs more.

8. CELTIC BEAUTY - Struggled both starts this season. Likely best watched.

9. MY LOVE'S PASSION - Placed on three of four starts this campaign and looks overdue a victory. Beaten a head in a listed race here last time and will enjoy drop in trip. Not out of this. Keep safe.

10. SILVER MACHINE - UK runner. Perfect two from two record. Steps up in grade following impressive 2.25L victory. This a lot tougher but is progressive. Shortlist.

Summary

UK trained LAZULI (1) disappointed when well fancied for a similar race and had excuses that day. Can bounce back. Yard do very well with the runners they send over to France and is the one to beat at best. BOTCH (2) impressed going clear at Saint Cloud. Progressive and set to enjoy these conditions. Tougher but a solid pick. SILVER MACHINE (10) is a perfect two from two. Limits are unknown and certainly worth try in this better grade. Each way. ROYAL COMMANDO (3) just missed the placings in a G1 on reappearance. Suspicion he was potentially flattered by that run but if able to replicate will go close. Include.

Race 6

1. WILD MAJESTY - 0.5L second at Dieppe. Close to a win on that form and this no tougher. Big chance.

2. TAWHIRI - Has placed on seven of nine career starts. Looks very much overdue a victory but slight attitude question marks arising now. Each way player.

3. DEVERELL - Is nicely bred but up against it on all known form.

4. FALCATA - Modest form figures so far and likely best watched.

5. NAVIDAD - Stepped forward significantly after modest debut run to finish a good 0.75L second at Le Touquet. That was a low grade race however and needs more again.

6. VICUNA - Well beaten both starts this campaign. Can be opposed with confidence.

7. MA DECLARATION - 2.5L fourth on debut but did not progress second up. Drop in trip not sure to suit and likely best watched amongst this field.

8. REVENTA - 1.75L fourth at Dieppe on reappearance. Should improve upon that and has good jockey booked. Interesting runner.

9. YOMOGI - Was highly tried last campaign. Down the field in G1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches last time but this is significantly easier and can do better. Keep safe.

10. MADAME PANDORA - Resumes after ten months. Showed ability before absence so worth a market check on return.

11. PEPIN ISLAND - Looks out of her depth amongst this field.

Summary

YOMOGI (9) is a high class filly who has contested some strong races. Drops from G1 level to a maiden and rates well. Hard to oppose. WILD MAJESTY (1) looks close to a victory having been beaten 0.5m second last start. Improving with racing and worth keeping safe. TAWHIRI (2) placed on seven of nine career starts and is consistent. Certainly has the ability to win a race in this grade and is each way. REVENTA (8) receives a nice draw and with a top jockey booked shapes well on reappearance. Each way player now second up.

1. HIGH DREAM - Goes well for this jockey. Has good course record and would be a threat to all at best.

2. SUBLIMIS - Placed on all three starts this campaign and looks overdue a victory now. With top yard and after only four starts is open to any amount of further improvement. Keep safe.

3. SOFT LIGHT - High class at best. Been freshened having disappointed as favourite only start last campaign. Yard going well and should do better.

4. SKYWARD - Won all three starts last campaign but not resumed in similar form. Needs more.

5. STYLEDARGENT - Won first two starts this campaign followed by 1.2L third G3 Vichy 2000m. Progressive and can do better yet.

6. THUNDERING BLUE - UK runner. Resumes after eleven month absence. Yard are flying at present so worth a market check to determine what is expected.

7. FOLAMOUR - Been well held this campaign but drops from G1 in June. Leading trainer and good jockey booked. Threat to all at this level.

8. VILLA ROSA - Good winning record but below that level last campaign. Can show more now freshened.

Summary

SOFT LIGHT (3) delivered a modest run on only start previous campaign. Better than that and can show more. The one to beat. SUBLIMIS (2) has only had four career starts but is yet to miss the money. Clearly both talented and consistent and can improve further. Big test. STYLEDARGENT (5) is thriving this campaign. Beaten only 1.2L in a G3 2000m and if anything this is easier. Winning chance. FOLAMOUR (7) drops significantly in grade having contested a G1 in June. Not disgraced and could do better in this field. Each way.

1. VERSAILLES - Game 0.5L winner at Vittel. This tougher but remains unexposed and is open to further progression.

2. LIONEL - Been highly tried this campaign. Drops in grade and gets to the right race now. Will find this easier and can bounce back.

3. FINDHORN - 2L winner at Vichy last start. That was impressive and worth try in better race now. Perfect one from one for this jockey and has a big chance.

4. WILD BUSH - 1.45L third at Compiegne. That form reads well and certainly has the ability to win in this grade. Interesting.

5. LE GASTRONOME - Placed on last four starts and looks very much overdue a victory. Only beaten 0.5L last time so does not need to improve much to break through now. Keep safe.

6. ON Y VA - Disappointing run last time but had been in great form before that. Can excuse that last run and a big player if ignoring that.

7. SAHAR - Below best this campaign and likely best watched.

8. INCA MAN - 1.5L winner at Saint Cloud two starts back. Only a fair run since but has top jockey booked and can do better now.

9. BAY VIEW - Just missed the placings when a 2.75L fourth at Vichy in a similar contest last time. Each way chance on that form.

10. SITUMELEDEMANDAIS - Uninspiring form figures this campaign and likely best watched.

Summary

LE GASTRONOME (5) placed past four outings and is overdue a victory. Clearly in great form and rates well in this field. The one to beat. ON Y VA (6) is in good form this campaign. Open to further improvement and worth keeping safe. INCA MAN (8) was slightly disappointing in latest but impressed winning two starts ago. Top jockey booked and easy to fancy. LIONEL (2) drops in grade and finds the right race. Each way now back in more suitable company.
