Annual LEAD Symposium

Marmion’s LEAD program conducted its Ninth Annual Leadership Symposium on February 22nd. The symposiums are a popular program that showcase students’ abilities to practically apply the lessons learned in LEAD, and they provide a platform to share important leadership lessons with others in the community.

On the night of the event, five LEAD students (pictured top, l-r), Sean Kramer ’19, Mason Hartweger ’19, Avik Chatterjee ’18, Edward Goyao ’18 and Tim Hoying ’18, presented a program that discredited the following commonly held leadership myths:

1. One is born as either a leader or a follower. 2. Successful leaders do not fail. 3. One must have a title to lead. 4. Leadership is objective.

The event was a success and the members of the LEAD program are excited about the next symposium, which will take place on Grandparents Day, April 20, 2018.
