FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE OCTOBER 28, 2015 Marmol Radziner Launches White Brass Jewelry New white brass cuffs shown with Marmol Radziner’s classic light brass cuffs. Los Angeles – Marmol Radziner has launched a unisex collection of handcrafted white brass jewelry, including rings, cuffs, and earrings. The new collection is available for order at www.marmolradzinerjewelry.com. The white brass collection emerged out of a desire to expand and complement Marmol Radziner Jewelry’s current offerings in brass and bronze. Needing a gift for a friend who only wears platinum and silver tone metals, Chief Jewelry Designer Robin Cottle saw an opportunity to grow and diversify the collection. White brass, also known as nickel silver, is a copper alloy with nickel and zinc. The silvery appearance of white brass pairs well with other cooler-toned metals like stainless steel, platinum, silver and white gold. Alternatively, Marmol Radziner’s white brass jewelry can be paired with the current collection, which comes in light, natural, distressed, dark, and torched finishes. Like the existing collection, the new collection is fabricated in small production runs by the firm’s own in-house metal shop. Each piece is handcrafted by master craftsmen who produce the firm’s custom architectural hardware and furniture. “Exploring new ways to create wearable jewelry made from architectural material is an exciting challenge for us,” says Cottle. “Unlike the tradition of cast jewelry, we cut, torch, and hammer to create each ring, earring, and cuff.” Marmol Radziner Jewelry was originally conceived in 2010 by Marmol Radziner Design Principal Ron Radziner, who had little luck finding men’s jewelry that was both minimal and substantial. Inspired by a piece of metal he found on the beach years ago and wore as a bracelet, Radziner asked the metal shop to create a variation of it with the same dark patina as the custom hardware in his home at the time, the Vienna Way Residence. Soon after, Cottle and a couple of the firm’s architects designed pieces they wanted to wear, creating a line of jewelry that became their first collection. The new white brass collection further exemplifies the firm’s unique approach, where the architects are responsible for every step of the design and building process. Marmol Radziner Jewelry is carried by over 90 stockists throughout the United States, Canada, Australia, and Japan.
