Il progetto è coordinato dalla Presidenza del Consiglio dei Ministri e realizzato con il Dipartimento per lo Sviluppo e la Coesione Economica e il supporto operativo di Invitalia, l’Agenzia nazionale per l’attrazione degli investimenti e lo sviluppo d’impresa.     Most of our readers don’t need to be sold on the wonders of over- seas travel. But in case there’s some travel-hating hermit reading this magazine in his mother’s basement, consider this from Bill Bryson’s Neither Here nor There: Travels in Europe: “But that’s the glory of foreign travel, as far as I am concerned. I don’t want to know what people are talking about. I can’t think of anything that excites a greater sense of childlike wonder than to be in a country where you are ignorant of almost everything. Suddenly you are five years old again. You can’t read anything, you have only the most rudimentary sense of how things work, you can’t even reliably cross a street without endangering your life. Your whole existence becomes a series of interesting guesses.” Bill Bryson put into words what I find so exhilarating about over- seas travel. Don’t get me wrong; the majority of my travel is to places where I speak the language and I’m not “endangering my life by crossing the street,” and I love that, too. In a strange way, though, trying to communicate with someone who is trying to help you in a foreign language is a hilarious and gratifying exercise. Ivan Ocampo and I spent a week in northern Italy to produce content for this issue. It wasn’t my first time there, but unlike previous trips, we weren’t there for vacation. We were there to work!
