Your hair appointment

Your hair experience is our priority - we aim to meet and exceed your expectations through exceptional attention to detail, personalised customer care and technical expertise.

Your hair appointment begins with an in-depth consultation with one of our talented and creative stylists to assess your hair and discuss any style changes you may have in mind. Analysis includes assessment of the condition of your hair and scalp, your hair texture, face shape and your hair’s natural capabilities. This is your opportunity to discuss what you would like to achieve with your hair.

Hair styling services include a luxurious ritual of a premium shampoo and conditioning treatment with a relaxing head massage, and are followed by a blow dry and advice on maintaining your hair at home, including product recommendations to help you maintain healthy, manageable hair. Please note colour services do not include your finish so please add a blowdry or cut and blowdry as required, when booking.

A complimentary colour consultation is recommended prior to your first hair colouring service. Our technical team will provide an in-depth complimentary consultation to discuss colour changes and techniques, an allergy test and an indication of the total cost of the services chosen.

Hair prices are a guideline based on short to medium (just below shoulder length) hair. There will be a supplement based on £10 per extra 15 minutes for long and/or very thick hair for cutting and styling services and £15 per extra 15 minutes for colouring services to cover the extra time and products required.

Allergy patch testing We require all clients to follow our skin allergy test procedure. Clients who have not had a colour application in our salon in the preceding 3 months are requested to have a skin allergy test at the salon 48 hours before their appointment. Our technicians may also subsequently require clients to undergo the skin allergy test procedure before commencing any new colour techniques.

Intensive hair conditioning treatments, toners and L’Oreal SmartBond treatments are charged separately to your cutting and colouring.

Freehand colouring, Balayage, and Ombre colour correction services are charged at £75 per hour to cover time and product costs.

In the event of feeling unhappy with your cut or colour results, please do feel comfortable in being honest with your stylist – it is important you are satisfied and we are always happy to try and resolve any tweaks that may need to be made.

Transform your look with Easilocks Hair Extensions

Premium hair extensions are the perfect solution for taking short hair to long hair, or adding volume to fine hair. Virtually undetectable by sight, Easilocks hair extensions are 100% human hair and are comfortable to wear, style and sleep in.

Easilocks are attached using tiny micro rings which simply clip to your natural hair using no glue, no heat and last 3 to 4 months after which the hair can be reapplied once or twice, depending on condition. Easiloclks hair extensions are long lasting and can be coloured, styled, curled.

A maintenance appointment is recommended after about 6 weeks to maintain condition and longevity – clients often combine this with regrowth colour/highlighting with full colour and highlight services being applied when your extensions are removed prior to reapplication.

Prices are calculate following consultation, colour matching and allergy testing. Cost depends on the length, volume and number of bonds chosen and are calculated on cost of the hair chosen plus £80 per hour for application. Removal and repositioning is charged at £80 per hour.

TIPS FOR MAINTAINING YOUR GLOW

Shower and exfoliate about 8 hours prior to a spray tan. Avoid putting deodorant and body lotions on the day of your treatment, as this can lighten the self-tan.

Wear loose clothing and pedicure-friendly shoes to avoid tan lines caused by rubbing. Stick with the paper panties we give you for a few hours after the treatment because underwear lines are worse than bikini lines.

Follow the guidelines given by your therapist for the aftercare for the spray tan formula chosen and follow the recommended shower time and aftercare as closely as possible. If you opt for a classic self-tan solution, always wait a good eight hours or sleep with the product on overnight.

For the first shower after your tan, use water that's lukewarm and not too hot. Proper hydration is what will make your glow last, but an oil-rich formula will make it slip right off.

A good spray tan can last for several days, however the face and hands will fade the quickest so invest in a good self-tan for the face. Face self-tanners are also a perfect way to touch up the hands as they are lighter in formulation than body products. Wipe palms and nails with a cleansing wipe after application to avoid build-up and residue in those places.

Heavy exercise, sweating, sunscreen, and chlorine can deplete the life of your tan. Apply a gradual tanner to boost and maintain your glow every three to four days to boost colour. Exfoliate gently every 2 or 3 days to avoid blotchiness and ensure the tan is fading evenly

Salon Terms, Conditions & Etiquette

Cancellation Policy We politely ask you to give us at least 24hrs notice for any amendments or cancellation of your booking. A 50% cancellation fee will become payable for less than 24hrs notice and 100% if cancelled on the day. We will send you a reminder text 48 hours prior to your appointment with an option to confirm or cancel.

Consultations & Medical Questionnaires All new clients will be required to fill in a consultation and medical declaration as some treatments may be unsuitable or require adjusting. For your comfort and safety, a doctors letter is required following any past or present cancer treatment to ensure your chosen treatments are suitable for you. This information is completely confidential and is covered by the Data Protection Act.

Pregnancy During your first trimester only maintenance treatments are suitable, as any treatments incorporating essential oils may pose a risk. Thereafter we recommend you experience our mother to be treatments.

Arrival Time To ensure you receive your full treatment time we recommend you arrive 10 minutes prior to your treatment. We understand that sometimes things happen on the day that cause you to run late but as we run on an appointment basis it is necessary for us to finish your appointment on time so that we don’t run into the next client’s booked appointment time. All appointment times quoted include consultation, preparation time, treatment and vacation of the room.

Courses Prepaid courses are valid for 12 months from the first treatment. Though non-refundable, unused balances may be transferred to other treatments within the 12 month period. Please note if you fail to arrive for a booked course treatment, it will be deducted from your course.

Treatment and Price Changes Changes may occasionally be made without prior notice, but any annual price increase will be implemented with a minimum of one month’s notice.

Bank Holidays With the exception of Good Friday, the salon doesn’t open on Bank Holidays.

Children: As we provide a quiet and relaxing atmosphere at Blissimi we do politely ask that as a rule you do not bring children under the age of 16 into the salon unless they are booked in for a treatment. When children are brought into the salon please ensure they are closely supervised at all times due to the potential risks within a salon environment.

Mobile Phones For the comfort of other clients we request that you either switch off or put your mobile phone onto silent.

Dissatisfaction Should you have any cause for complaint during your visit, please let us know immediately and we will endeavour to resolve the problem there and then. If you are still not satisfied on your return home please call us or email within 7 days of returning from your visit to allow the complaint to be investigated properly and a resolution found.
