We have the most far-reaching contacts in the industry. Our staff, many of whom have had extensive experience working at all levels of the broadcast industry, has developed a well-deserved reputation for honesty, integrity, perseverance, and know-how in strategizing with our clients and working with the radio community in a results-oriented fashion. Unlike other firms, we will never book an interview in a small 10-watt station in a suburban city and label it as a booking in the big market nearby. By default, time and time again, we are booking the top-rated stations in targeted markets such as WINS-AM and WCBS-AM in New York or KNX-AM and KFWB-AM in Los Angeles. Network Radio Strauss Media Strategies has long-standing personal relationships with all of the national radio networks. We work on a regular basis with the ABC Radio Network, American Urban Radio Network, CBS Radio Network, CNN Radio, AP Radio, Fox News Radio, National Public Radio, Metro Networks, Voice of America, and the Westwood One Radio Network. We have also developed distribution partnerships with ABC Radio Network, CNN Radio, Radio America, the USA Radio Network, the Business Talk Radio Network, and American Urban Radio Network. In addition, we have experience working with such specialty networks as Bloomberg Business Radio, Marketwatch Radio, Wall Street Journal Radio Network, Public Radio International, Talk Radio News Service, and scores of individual state and regional networks and syndicated programs. Satellite Radio Strauss Media Strategies enjoys an excellent relationship with satellite radio. We have worked with both XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio since their inception, and those relationships have now carried over to the merged Sirius XM Radio. We have worked particularly closely with the “XM Potus” Channel, the “Joe Madison Show”, the “Al Sharpton Show”, and “Oprah and Friends Radio”. Talk Radio One of Strauss Media Strategies’ greatest strengths is its relationship with the talk radio community. We have many long-standing personal relationships with talk radio show hosts and producers at the nationally syndicated, statewide, and local levels. We have worked with such national shows as Westwood One’s “The Jim Bohannon Show”, NPR’s “Talk of the Nation” and “The Diane Rehm Show”, Air America’s “The Tom Hartman Program”, American Urban Radio Network’s “The Bev Smith Show”, the “Ed Schultz Show”, Doug Stephan’s “Good Day”, as well as many other nationally syndicated programs. News/Talk and All-News Radio News and news talk radio stations rank at or near the top of the ratings in many cities and regions of the country. Strauss Media Strategies has long-standing relationships with key reporters, producers, and other contacts at the most influential news radio stations in the country. We have worked with news stations in all of the nation’s 200-plus radio markets. Music Radio Music radio can be an excellent format for radio outreach efforts in certain types of campaigns, and Strauss Media Strategies has worked with producers and show hosts of music radio stations for many years. These formats include Rock, Classic Rock, Contemporary Hits Radio, Adult Contemporary, Urban, Jazz, and Alternative. Although music is the mainstay of these formats, many of them also feature news and interview segments, especially during the often highly- rated drive time shows. Live Remote Broadcasts Strauss Media Strategies, Inc. has extensive technical experience working with stations in setting up live remote broadcasts. While working at the White House, Strauss Media Strategies President Richard Strauss set up the first-ever White House “radio row” that brought 60 stations to broadcast on the White House North Lawn. Additionally, at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago (1996), Strauss Media Strategies worked with more than 30 shows from across the country that broadcast their shows live from inside the United Center.
