Audience - Comparative Analysis Formula 1 Racing Drivers 360 Motorsport Communication agency AUDIENCE - COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS FORMULA 1 RACING DRIVERS SHARE YOUR MOTORSPORT METHODOLOGY Often used for “inside” content, Instagram is surely the most popular social 2 network right now. Formula 1 drivers are the most famous in the motorsport, so we found it helpful to focus on their Instagram accounts for this study. We selected the official Formula 1 drivers’s Instagram accounts (2018) Data was taken manually by our team on each Instagram account. This data matchs with posts published between 10/01/2018 to 10/31/2018. The Instagram data have been collected on November 1st, 2018, and are no longer effective today because of fans fluctuation and interactions on the accounts. We can notice an important gap between Lewis Hamilton, great influencer, and his competitors. Sebastian Vettel is absent of this study, the German driver 5 is only one who don’t have official Instagram account. Communication on Instagram is usually used for the majority of athletes and their phones aren’t too far from cockpit. It should be noted that 19 racing drivers have an Instagram account and only 4 racing drivers published less than 10 posts last month, all others are very active. We can also notice that racing drivers who recently had important informations to announce, have very interactive communities, like Pierre Gasly or Charles Leclerc, this latter is one of the 5 best drivers on Instagram. As part of this study, we can not attest that advertising budgets have been invested to boost some posts, but the statistics of the reactions by post for all this Instagram accounts are not disproportionate."     MEDIA INFORMATION ABB FIA Formula E Championship 2019/2020 First round: Diriyah E-Prix A perfect start to Formula E’s ‘Season 6’ for the connected MICHELIN Pilot Sport The two races of the 2019/2020 ABB FIA Formula E Championship’s opening meeting in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, saw Michelin deliver another demonstration of the overall performance of the MICHELIN Pilot Sport which made its debut in the series in 2018/2019. This season sees the MICHELIN Pilot Sport become the first connected tyre to be used in motor racing thanks to Michelin Track Connect which features a sensor positioned inside the cover. The weekend in Saudi Arabia effectively saw Michelin inaugurated a new system to monitor the tyre pressures ran by the championship’s all-electric single-seater race cars. Michelin Track Connect for Formula E allows tyre pressures to be monitored automatically and reliably – whether hot or cold. This new solution addresses a demand expressed by motorsport’s governing body, the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile), which has incorporated its use into Formula E’s regulations, as well as by the teams and the championship’s promoter. Michelin Track Connect for Formula E uses a Michelin-designed and developed sensor located in a specific housing inside the MICHELIN Pilot Sport tyres that feature in the series. The data it collects is transmitted in encrypted form to the FIA and Michelin, who are the only recipients. For more than 115 years Renault has embraced the challenge of motorsport in multiple guises. It recognised the value of competitive activities for technical and commercial gain: in December 1898 Louis Renault drove the Type A Voiturette up the steepest street in Paris, the rue Lepic. The first orders for the ground-breaking car with direct drive flooded in. In 1902 the nimble, lightweight Type K, fitted with Renault’s first 4-cylinder engine, took victory in the Paris-Vienna rally. Again, many more cars were sold. Going through the years, in 1977 Renault introduced the first-ever turbocharged car to F1.
