20. Best Practices:

Title:- Financial Aid to needy and scholarship support

Objective:- It has been observed that the students joining courses to the Institute that there are many students coming from the rural and tribal area with low economic background. Their parents are unable to provide them a continual financial support because they depend on agriculture is being a gamble with rain, is not an assured source of income. So, the noble objectives of the practice are

• To provide the Financial Aid and scholarships facility to support the needy and poor students especially from the rural and tribal area. • To reduce the drop-out rate of the students in the college due to poor financial condition. • To promote the ‘equality’ among the students. • To create a good citizen by educating the financially poor students. • To create students who become financially independent after completion of their post graduation.

Context:-The Institute is situated in Tribal area. The maximum number of students belongs to basically low economic background of society. It is in this context that scholarships can help these students to complete their higher education. After comprehensive deliberations with students and teachers, it was decided to extend the benefit to all the poor students, who do not have the advantage of government or endowment scholarships, without any discrimination of caste, gender.

Practice:-

In the context of the professional education it required high amounts of money. Though, sometimes, they admit their children to colleges in the town, they are unable to give sustained financial support throughout the course of study because agriculture, being a gamble with rain, is not a source of assured income. So, it is evident that without financial support from an external source, the rural youth cannot hope to successfully complete their higher studies.

MANDATORY DISCLOSURES - PAGE 21

The college provides information about the different kinds of scholarships for the students through notice board and notice in class room. The students are made aware of different kinds of scholarships given to them by the state government,

He completed M.B.A successfully with more than 60% of marks. Now he is an accomplished Account Officer with better communication skills and a sense of social service. The story is just an example the following is the list of such students, who emerged as beneficiaries of the scheme.

Due to the scholarship scheme all students are able to complete their education only because scholarship they got, otherwise they may be dropped-out from the course most of the students are now working in reputed organizations in various fields like IT, Networking, Software developer, Data Analyst, Marketing, Finance, Human Resource etc.
