NEW TRAIL MAPS FEATURE WALKING/HIKING LOOPS To help folks enjoy the 80+ of recreational and public pathways in Pittsford, we've recently created 10 individual online maps with historical information and suggested walking/hiking loops. Found under the "About Pittsford" tab on the Town website, the maps can be downloaded or printed and include pathways in Thornell Farm Park and Isaac Gordon Nature Park, along Irondequoit Creek, and several along the Erie Canal. Hard copy maps are also available at Town Hall (11 South Main Street), the Spiegel Community Center (35 Lincoln Avenue) and at the Pittsford Community Library (24 State Street).

KIDS CONCERT TONIGHT (WEDNESDAY) AT CARPENTER PARK Don't miss our final Concert for Kids of the season - it's this

Wednesday (August 5) featuring the kid-friendly blues of Mike Kid-friendly blues with Mike Kornrich, plus activities the kids will love! Join us at 6:30PM in Kornrich on Wednesday at our Carpenter Park at the Port of Pittsford for this free evening of family Concert for Kids! entertainment along the canal. You'll love the music - and may even want to sing along! Carpenter Park is located at 22 North Main Street.

FRANK'S RAT PACK & BILLS APPRECIATION NIGHT FRIDAY - JOIN IN THE GROUP FAN PHOTO! We're so glad to have Training Camp here in Pittsford that we're featuring a special night at our August 7 Friday evening concert to make the Bills feel welcome - it's Bills Appreciation Night! Wear red and , or your favorite Buffalo Bills gear, and take part in a group fan photo to be taken at 6:25PM - just before the concert begins at 6:30PM. We'll have special activities for the kids, a visit from mascot Billy Buffalo, and great Sinatra-style music by Frank's Rat Pack.

The Town of Pittsford's Summer Concerts are held along the canal in Carpenter Park at the Port of Pittsford (22 North Main Street) Friday evenings at 6:30PM, through August 14. Bring your lawn chair or a blanket and join us. Hots, burgers, sausage, and chicken sandwiches are available for purchase on site, or grab a bite to eat from a variety of nearby restaurants. LIMITED NUMBER OF PREVIOUS "PITTSFORD WELCOMES BILLS" STREET BANNERS FOR SALE The Town's previous style of Buffalo Bills street banners (as is - some fading, marks, etc.) are for sale at $20 each (cash only) on a first-come, first-served basis; proceeds will be used to support future Town special events. Banners currently may be purchased at Town Hall (11 South Main Street); if available, we will be selling them this Friday at the Bills Appreciation Night at the Town concert as well. WALNUT HILL CARRIAGE COMPETITION TODAY THROUGH SUNDAY (8/5-9) Recapturing the spirit of the 1890s, the Pittsford Carriage Association's annual Carriage Driving Competition at Walnut Hill Farm begins today! The five-day event runs from Wednesday, 8/5 through Sunday, 8/9 and hosts over 100 international competitors driving antique horse-drawn vehicles from tiny pony carts to huge road coaches. Held in a 19th century country fair setting, the event features a range of competitions and special exhibits - the fancy dress competition, the carriage dog competition and the Friday night Victorian-style picnic are sure to be crowd favorites! PITTSFORD RECREATION SEEKS AFTER SCHOOL COUNSELORS The Town of Pittsford is seeking candidates for several part-time counselor positions available with Pittsford Recreation's After School Program. The primary responsibilities of the position include assisting with program activities, events, and programming while working with children ages 5-13. Candidates should be at least 15 years old, have previous experience working in a youth related program and must be available September 2, 2015 through June 23, 2016; hours are Monday - Friday, 3-6PM with additional hours during school half-days and breaks.
