DAY 1 DEPART for LAHORE, PAKISTAN (2N) Depart for Lahore, Pakistan. Lahore is the capital of the largest province Punjab and the 2nd largest city of Pakistan. There are many spectacular buildings of different eras like Mughal architecture, Colonial buildings and some very beautiful recent buildings. Avari Hotel Lahore 5* or similar
DAY 2 LAHORE (B, L, D) Visit Badshahi Mosque, Lahore Fort, Wazir Khan Mosque and Minar e Pakistan. Witness the unique Flag lowering ceremony at Pakistan-India Border in the evening.
DAY 3 LAHORE / ISLAMABAD (1N) (B, L, D) After breakfast, travel to Islamabad (5 hours) – capital of Pakistan. It is lush green, spacious and peaceful. Visit one of the most famous temples in Pakistan - Ketas Temple and the National Monument. Serena Hotel Islamabad 5* or similar
DAY 4 ISLAMABAD / SWAT VALLEY via TAKHT-i-BHAI (1N) (B, L, D) Early morning drive to Swat Valley via Takht-i-Bai and Malakand Pass (6-7 hours). Swat Valley is a beautiful glittering jewel that is an exact replica of the Swiss Alps. Several mighty and high mountain ranges surround this enthralling valley. Visit the Bhuddist monastery of Takht-i-Bai (from the 1st century AD), once known as the heart of the Gandhara civilization. Serena Hotel Swat or similar
DAY 5 SWAT / CHILAS (1N) (B, L, D) Depart for Chilas over Shangla Pass with majestic views of the Hindukush and Himalaya Mountain Range. Travel on the Karakoram Highway which is the most spectacular Road in the World. The 900km KKH links Pakistan and China via crossing the world highest pass, the Khunjerab pass. DAY 6 CHILAS / GILGIT / KARIMABAD, HUNZA (4N) (B, L, D) Drive to Karimabad, Hunza whilst stopping at various places to admire the Spring Blossoms. On the way we will pass Gilgit & stop at Three Mountain Ranges meeting place and also view point of Rakaposhi, a beautiful peak. Serena Hotel or similar
DAY 7 KARIMABAD, HUNZA (B, L, D) Full day sightseeing at Karimabad, Hunza. Hunza is the most beautiful place surrounded by snow covered peaks. Visit the 900 years old Baltit Fort which is built by the ex-rulers (Mirs) of Hunza, it dominates the Valley and the view of the Hunza and the parallel Nagar valley is superb from Baltit Fort. Enjoy lunch at Altit Fort Garden before going to Duiker to view the majestic sunset. Enjoy a musical evening.
DAY 8 UPPER HUNZA (B, L, D) After breakfast visit Upper Hunza and the villages of Gulmit, Passu etc. See the beautiful Attabad Lake, Passu and Batura Glacier, the famous suspension bridges in the spectacular valley. The Khunjerab Pass at 4,733m is the highest paved border crossing in the world where on the other side is China.
DAY 9 NAGAR VALLEY (B, L, D) In Northern Pakistan lies an absolutely stunning district; Nagar. The area is blessed with fruit trees comprising of cherries, apples, and apricots. Spend a day exploring the area and the local villages. Enjoy an excursion to Hoper Glacier by 4x4 jeeps.
DAY 10 HUNZA / BESHAM (1N) (B, L, D) Early morning drive to Besham with spectacular scenery along the KKH Highway. (10 hrs drive) PTDC Motel Besham
DAY 11 BESHAM / DEPART ISLAMABAD (B, L, D) Visit Taxila Museum or Bhuddist Archeological sites. Taxila is the most important city in the history of Gadhara Civilization. See how the beautiful trucks that ply the Karakoram Highway are decorated and painted. Depart for Islamabad for flight home (6 hours drive).
