• Advising an undergraduate thesis project, Carla Whisner, examining inorganic carbon fluxes in surface and groundwater associated with agricultural land management. • Co-advising a history student undergraduate student research project, Michael Shoenfelt, exploring silicate weathering and water quality in the foreland of tropical Peruvian glaciers. • Science advisor to Center of Science and Industry (COSI). Developing inquiry-based environmental educational activities for K-12 students. Will build and lead activities for “Girls Go Green” and “Polar Days”. Led “Girls Explore Archeology Activities.” • Hosted a glacier-flubber-dynamics inquiry clinic for gifted Junior High students at Women in Science Day at OSU. • Mentoring multiple geochemistry undergraduate students in field and lab activities (including water sampling, filtering, performing titrations, and making standards). • Supervised Westerville High School intern (school-credit) in water quality analyses during Fall 08 (5-10 hr/week).
