Davy Crockett Productions staff includes the theatrical writing team of playwright Steve Warren, lyricist June Rachelson-Ospa, and composer Tom Masinter. They previously wrote the award-winning musical of The Alamo, Gone To Texas which has had multiple stagings in San Antonio at the Josephine Theatre, Church Theatre, and the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. Gone To Texas was featured at Texas Spirit Theatre at the Bob Bullock Texas State Museum in Austin and in a reading at the York Theatre in New York.

Allegro Stage Company was founded by Tim Hedgepeth and Tom Masinter after positive responses to several shows including No Business, Like Show Business at San Antonio’s McNay Art Museum, Enchanted Evenings: From “Butterfly” to Broadway, and Land That I Love: Words and Music by Irving Berlin at the San Antonio Public Library.

For the 2009-2010 season, Allegro produced Fire on the Bayou, the "cajun voodoo musical" by Tom Masinter and Mark Leonard, at San Antonio's historic Woodlawn Theater, as well as The Jerome Kern Songbook for the McNay Art Museum and Luminaria.

Starting in 2014, Allegro Stage Co. has performed memorable shows on the Cave Without a Name stage.

Not wishing to reproduce the efforts of other local established theater, Allegro will focus on forgotten or seldom-produced classics, as well as original works. Allegro Stage Company will focus on its specialized niche -- works that are musically and theatrically rewarding but have not achieved the kind of familiarity that warrant frequent production while offering a showcase for the numerous talents who work in San Antonio’s theater community.
