NO PARTICULARS HAVE BEEN LEARNED ABOUT HIS DEATH, BUT IT IS THOUGH HE DIED FROM HEART FAILURE. 16/JUL/1920—CHARLES FREDERICK BEYER OF FOREST DIED SUDDENLY YESTERDAY MORNING, JULY 15, FROM HEART DISEASE, WHICH SEEMINGLY WAS LEFT WITH HIM FROM THE INFLUENZA, OF WHICH HE HAD A SERIOUS ATTACK LAST WINTER. HE FARIBAULT 15/JUL/1920 NEVER FULLY RECOVERED FROM THE CHARLES BEYER DAILY AND FLU, BUT HAS BEEN ABLE TO BE OUT FREDERICK NEWS 16/JUL/1920 AND AT HIS WORK SINCE SPRING. YESTERDAY MORNING HE GOT UP AND WENT TO HIS BARN TO DO THE MORNING CHORES. HE COMPLAINED OF NOT FEELING RIGHT, AND WENT UPSTAIRS AND THREW HIMSELF ACROSS THE FOOT OF HIS BED FOR A REST. FIFTEEN MINUTES AFTER HE HAD GONE UP, HIS DAUGHTER WENT UPSTAIRS TO CALL HIM FOR BREAKFAST AND FOUND HIM DEAD. HE WAS 46 YEARS OLD AND LEAVES A FAMILY. Charles Frederick Beyer (1873 to August 4, 1921) came to the United States from Germany at the age of 8 with his family. One child died during the trip. Parents were William and Frederika; brothers William F., Fred, and Herman; sisters Bertha, Annie, Martha and Mary, some of whom were born later in this country. They settled on a farm in the Lonsdale area. Charles married Emma Hannah Abel (January 31, 1876, to October 15, 1966) and they farmed west of Circle Lake near Millersburg on the Abel farm. They had 4 daughters, Marie (October 16, 1900, to 1978); Esther (September 7, 1902); Irene (April 15, 1907); and 1 who died in infancy. They also raised Elsie Beyer, daughter of CHARLES Charles’ sister, Martha. Charles died at BEYER BIOGRAPHY FREDERICK the age of 45 as a result of complications from flu and pneumonia.
