AUCKLAND, NZ - Welcome to new members, Andrew and Vivienne Palmer. They have a sharp looking ‘59 Series 62 and sent the following email: I have owned the car since February 2014 having purchased it from Tauranga. The previous

2016 owner had imported it 7 years prior (2007) from Fred Drosten in Camarillo CA. It was he who carried out the restoration of the vehicle in 1993-94. He purchased the car from the original owner of 34 years. It was reassuring when purchasing an old classic car to have its full history available and see receipts and pic’s from the restoration work carried out. It also came with the Pink Slip and original Californian black license plate. Kind Regards, Andrew

Email: [email protected] Home & abroad Taranaki Club Picnic Outing A horrible wet day in The Naki , but that didn’t discourage the boys. Anything for a cruise in the beauties. But to our surprise around the mountain was a beautiful day. So first call was to some gardens in the Manaia region. A quirky garden with railway train and track thru the bush. Out buildings to make look like they were built in the 1800’s . A doll’s cottage filled with dolls made by the locals. Such a cool garden we decided to have our picnic lunch in the band rotunda and table and chairs. Strawberries dipped in chocolate. Anybody think it was Christ- mas. Next we carry onto a factory where Studebakers, and dozens of motorbikes were displayed but the boys decided as they gave us 6 minutes in the gardens they could have 8 minutes in the factory, but no that was not long enough, so guess what we going back again! Next was a stop to see a display of toy models of all makes and teddy collection then onto Keith & Christine’s for afternoon tea. More food. A great cruise with friends 2016 .org December
