Founded in 1614, the UG has been an international community for four centuries. Today, students from over 120 countries study at the university, where over 100 degree programs are taught in English. Our university is located in the vibrant city of Groningen, where half the total population is under 35 and a quarter of the residents are students, making Groningen a university town that has the lowest average age in the Netherlands.
