The outline lists the instructionalunits to be taught for each year of a four-year secondaryautomotive mechanics 'Diagram' for either two -hour block or three-hourblock courses. The curriculum outline also describes the curriculum andlist's related study assignments and job sheets that are to be usedwith each unit. In addition, a list of required texts and resourcematerials is included. This curriculum is composed of sixteen 1 (16) units of instruction. The outline lists theinstructional units to be taught for each year'of a Secon- dary Automotive MechaniCs program for either a Two-HoWr Block or Three-Hour Block Prdgram. By utilizing the available curriculum materials, the instructorhas an opportunity to provide better instruc- tion to students by following a proven curriculum. ABOUT THE CURRICULUM 4 Each unit contains Related Study Assignments, AssignmentTests, Test Answers and Job Sheets. ..These are structured as follows: 4 Related Study Assignment: Contains an assignmentobjettive, introduction listing technical informa- tion, list of resource reading assignments, and study questionsthat help meet the objective. Assignment Test:Written test to measure student's achievement of theRelated Study Assignment objective. itz Test Answers: Provided for each assignment testft the instructor's use only. Job Sheets: Job sheets are an important segmentof each unit. The instructor should be able to, and in most situations should, demonstrate the skillsoutlined in the job sheets. Procedures outlined in the job sheets give direction to the skill beingtaught and allow both student and instructor to check student progress toward the accomplishmentof the skill.
