The city has Cornwall’s largest hospital which is also within easy reach of Chacewater and a mainline station that provides direct links to London Paddington (approximate travel time 4½ hours). Truro also provides excellent state and private schooling. To the south of Chacewater lies the picturesque port and town of Falmouth with its large estuary waters (the Carrick Roads) providing some of the best and safest day sailing waters in the country, whilst the myriad of creeks between Falmouth and Truro provide excellent sailing waters and picturesque creek and riverside walks. • LOCAL FACILITIES – Chacewater has a village shop for day to day amenities but is only a short drive away from the cathedral city of which has an excellent array of shops and facilities. There is a bus route into Truro and Redruth nearby. • DOCTORS AND DENTISTS – There is a doctor’s surgery in Chacewater and in addition can also be found in the nearby village of Threemilestone just up the road with many more in Truro. • PUBLIC HOUSE – The popular Kings Arms public house is located in the village which serves food and drink all year round. • THINGS TO DO – Chacewater is situated only a short drive away from the north Cornish coast with beautiful golden sands surfing beaches of Porthtowan, Perranporth and Godrevy within easy reach. Equally, within a short drive to the south the Carrick Roads (Fal Estuary) are widely considered to have some of the best day sailing waters in the United Kingdom. NEARBY WALKS – There are plenty of lovely walks in the area and indeed from Scorrier just up the road you can have direct access onto the Bissoe Trail which links Portreath on the north coast to the creekside village of Devoran on the south and is an extremely popular facility for families, walkers and cyclists.
