    Austenasian Constitution of 2011 We, the People and Government of the Empire of Austenasia, do proclaim and establish this Austenasian Constitution of 2011, in order to do away with the problems that resulted from the previous non-detailed Constitution, to reaffirm the sources of sovereignty and political power, and to establish a stronger, more stable, and more perfect Empire for ourselves and for posterity: I. The Empire of Austenasia A. This Constitution affirms the right of the Austen family, the senders of the 2008 Declaration of Independence, to national self-determination as a group of people sharing a common ancestry and culture, living on the same area of land, and identifying themselves as a people and a nation. The 2008 Declaration of Independence is therefore hereby declared to have been a valid declaration of the Empire of Austenasia to be an independent nation-state. B. The Empire of Austenasia is declared to have been a sovereign state, independent under international law and the principle of national self- determination, since 11:30 on Saturday 20 September 2008. C. The Empire of Austenasia is independent and separate from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, although a large dependency upon trade with the United Kingdom is acknowledged. D. As of 20 September 2011, the Empire of Austenasia consists of the Towns of Wrythe, Zephyria, and Glencrannog. E. HIH Crown Prince Jonathan shall hold the title “Founder of Austenasia” in perpetuity.     From Charlemagne to Hitler: The Imperial Crown of the Holy Roman Empire and its Symbolism Dagmar Paulus (University College London) [email protected] 2 The fabled Imperial Crown of the Holy Roman Empire is a striking visual image of political power whose symbolism influenced political discourse in the German-speaking lands over centuries. Together with other artefacts such as the Holy Lance or the Imperial Orb and Sword, the crown was part of the so-called Imperial Regalia, a collection of sacred objects that connotated royal authority and which were used at the coronations of kings and emperors during the Middle Ages and beyond. But even after the end of the Holy Roman Empire in 1806, the crown remained a powerful political symbol. In Germany, it was seen as the very embodiment of the Reichsidee, the concept or notion of the German Empire, which shaped the political landscape of Germany right up to National Socialism. In this paper, I will first present the crown itself as well as the political and religious connotations it carries. I will then move on to demonstrate how its symbolism was appropriated during the Second German Empire from 1871 onwards, and later by the Nazis in the so-called Third Reich, in order to legitimise political authority. I The crown, as part of the Regalia, had a symbolic and representational function that can be difficult for us to imagine today. On the one hand, it stood of course for royal authority. During coronations, the Regalia marked and established the transfer of authority from one ruler to his successor, ensuring continuity amidst the change that took place.

    I His Serene Highness Prince Sithiporn Kridakara ( · His Serene Highness Prince Sithiporn Kridakara passed away on 22 June 1971. Prince Sithiporn was born on 11 April 1883, the fourth son of His Royal Highness Prince Krisdapiniharn, Krom Phra Nares Voraridb. He was thus a grandson of King Mongkut and a nephew of King Chulalongkorn. He was educated at Harrow and the City and Guild's Technical College, now a part of London University. Returning to Siam in 1901, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as one of the Secretaries to the General Adviser. Four years later, he was transferred to the Ministry of Finance's Opium Department of which he rose to become Director-General. He resigned in 1921 to live in the country and to start an experi­ mental farm as Bangberd, 400 kilometres south of Bangkok. There, he experimented with may new crops hitherto unknown to Siam. To UBITUAHIES stimuiate new ways of thinking about agriculture, he co-founded a monthly agricultural journal called Kasikorn or The Fanner in 1927. In 1931, he was recalled to become Director-General of the Agricultural Inspection Department. Prince Sithiporn at once established three agricultural experimental stations in the North, the Northeast and the South. These stations were later expanded to become agricultural schools, demonstrations farms and extension agencies. This second period of government service was terminated by the 1932 Revolution which brought in its train more than 0 a decade of great misfortune for Prince Sithiporn. In 1944 Prince Sithiporn went back to Bangberd to rehabilitate hi s farm. He was recalled to be Minister of Agriculture in the Kbuang Abhaiwong cabinet of 1947-1948.

    MANUAL OF PROTOCOL MANUAL OF PROTOCOL AND ORDER OF OPERATIONS OF THE COLLEGE OF MONARCHS I ARTICLE ONE: COLLEGE OFFICERS I.1 Section One: Election of College Officers I.1.1 The College of Monarchs shall meet jointly with the Board of Directors at the Transition Meeting (Date and Time to be established by the outgoing President of the Board and the Minister of Protocol prior to each Coronation). At this joint meeting, the College of Monarchs will elect the presiding officers of the College of Monarchs – the Minister of Protocol, the Secretary of the College of Monarchs, and the Coronation Coordinator. I.1.2 The Minister of Protocol shall be selected from and by active members of the College of Monarchs and is elected by simple majority vote. I.1.3 Election of the Minister of Protocol shall be conducted by secret ballot. 1.1.4 Once the Minister of Protocol has been elected, the newly elected Minister of Protocol shall conduct the election of the Secretary of the College and the Coronation Coordinator. 1.1.5 Election of remaining officers shall be conducted by secret ballot with the Minister of Protocol tabulating and announcing the results of the election. I.2 Section Two: Term of Office and Succession I.2.1 The term of office of the officers of the College of Monarchs shall be from the date of their election to the date of the election of their successors. 1.2.2 Officers of the College of Monarchs may succeed themselves in office.
