This 5-piece group will take us on a journey featuring traditional country artists such as Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash and more. Bring a picnic lunch. The concert is free. Rain date: Thursday, August 19. Congregate Lunch Program: We are pleased to announce the lunch program is coming back. CRT is scheduled to start congregate lunches on Monday, August 23. The menu will be posted on the Senior Center website and our Facebook page. Menus will also be available at the Senior Center. Participants must call in by Friday, August 20 at noon for Monday, August 23rd lunches. Please call the Kitchen at 860-763-7428 and leave a message. National Senior Citizen’s Day: Join us on Friday, August 20th from 1:30-2:30pm to celebrate the day with strawberry shortcake! The event is free and is sponsored by Care One. Please call the front desk at 860-763-7425 to reserve your spot. Trivia, Treats & Coffee: Join Nicole Matson from Home Helpers on August 18th at 10:30am. The event is free. Jim Malley Presents: Focus on “Hurricane – 1955 Flood in Enfield”. Jim Malley will show photographs of the destructive forces during Hurricane Diane on August 18 & 19, 1955. In this empowering talk, Jessica Garza shares four mood-regulating strategies to help you gain self- awareness of your feelings, avoid catching other people’s emotions and perform at your peak. Paint Party: Calling all horse lovers. Paint along with the very talented Sandy as you create a beautiful 11x17 painting of a horse. Monday, August 30 from 1:00-3:00pm.
