Professor Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Chawla M. Sc., M. Phil., Ph. D. QAU, Islamabad, Post-Doc. UK Dean, Faculty of Arts & Humanities and Professor & Chairman, Department of History, University of the Punjab, Lahore, has published numerous research articles in national and international research journals. He also has presented papers on number of international Conferences. His major area of interest is History of Modern South Asia and has published numerous articles in the internationally reputed research journals. He has also published four books and his book Wavell and the Dying Days of the Raj, published by OUP in 2012 was awarded Best Book Publication Award for 2010-2011 on Sep 25, 2013 by HEC, Pakistan. Because of his services to the discipline of History in Pakistan, he was awarded number of awards, such as HEC Post-Doctoral Fellowship Award 2010-2011, Overseas Ph. D. Scholarship (Split program) 2004-2005 & Punjab University's Best Teacher’s Award 2005-2007. He has also organized three international conferences and number of seminars and lectures on different themes and topics related to Arts and Humanities.
