Mazda a Double Winner at the 2005 Canadian Car of

the Year Awards

(Richmond Hill, ON): Mazda Canada was a double winner at the 2005

Canadian Car of the Year awards presented by the Automobile

Journalists Association of Canada and announced today in Toronto.

The Mazda6 Sport, the intermediate-size hatchback introduced in April of this year, won the Best New Family Car category. It’s sibling the Mazda6 SportWagon, introduced in May of this year, won the Best

New Station Wagon category.

Mazda Canada was one of only two car companies to win multiple awards this year.

As category winners, the Mazda6 Sport and Mazda6

SportWagon are eligible for the 2005 award, which will be announced on February 16, 2005 at the Canadian

International Auto Show.

The Mazda6 sedan, introduced in January 2003, won the 2004

Best New Family Car. Last year Mazda Canada won five awards including 2004 Canadian Car of the Year with the .
