February 26, 2021 Amazon Warehouse Workers In
February 26, 2021 Amazon warehouse workers in Bessemer, Alabama are voting to form a union with the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU). We are the writers of feature films and television series. All of our work is done under union contracts whether it appears on Amazon Prime, a different streaming service, or a television network. Unions protect workers with essential rights and benefits. Most importantly, a union gives employees a seat at the table to negotiate fair pay, scheduling and more workplace policies. Deadline Amazon accepts unions for entertainment workers, and we believe warehouse workers deserve the same respect in the workplace. We strongly urge all Amazon warehouse workers in Bessemer to VOTE UNION YES. Casual and Hardcore Players in HBO's Westworld (2016): the Immoral and Violent Player
Casual and Hardcore Players in HBO’s Westworld (2016): The Immoral and Violent Player MA Thesis Ellen Menger – 5689295 [email protected] Supervisor: Dr. René Glas Second reader: Dr. Jasper van Vught Utrecht University MA New Media & Digital Culture MCMV10009 - THE-Masterthesis/ MA NMDC May 8, 2017 Abstract This thesis approaches the HBO series Westworld (2016) through the lens of game studies and interprets the series as a commentary on the stereotype of casual and hardcore players and immoral violence in video games. By performing a textual analysis, this thesis explores how Westworld as a series makes use of the casual and hardcore player stereotype, looking at the way the series explores the construction of player categories and how it ties these to the dialogue about violence and immoral behaviour in video games. Keywords: Westworld, games, player types, Western, casual gamer, hardcore gamer, violence, ethics, morals SPOILER WARNING This thesis reveals certain plot twists that may spoil part of the storyline of the first season of HBO’s Westworld. Pieces of a Woman
PIECES OF A WOMAN Directed by Kornél Mundruczó Starring Vanessa Kirby, Shia LaBeouf, Molly Parker, Sarah Snook, Iliza Shlesinger, Benny Safdie, Jimmie Falls, Ellen Burstyn **WORLD PREMIERE – In Competition – Venice Film Festival 2020** **OFFICIAL SELECTION – Gala Presentations – Toronto International Film Festival 2020** Press Contacts: US: Julie Chappell | [email protected] International: Claudia Tomassini | [email protected] Sales Contact: Linda Jin | [email protected] 1 SHORT SYNOPSIS When an unfathomable tragedy befalls a young mother (Vanessa Kirby), she begins a year-long odyssey of mourning that touches her husband (Shia LaBeouf), her mother (Ellen Burstyn), and her midwife (Molly Parker). Director Kornél Mundruczó (White God, winner of the Prix Un Certain Regard Award, 2014) and partner/screenwriter Kata Wéber craft a deeply personal meditation and ultimately transcendent story of a woman learning to live alongside her loss. SYNOPSIS Martha and Sean Carson (Vanessa Kirby, Shia LaBeouf) are a Boston couple on the verge of parenthood whose lives change irrevocably during a home birth at the hands of a flustered midwife (Molly Parker), who faces charges of criminal negligence. Thus begins a year-long odyssey for Martha, who must navigate her grief while working through fractious relationships with her husband and her domineering mother (Ellen Burstyn), along with the publicly vilified midwife whom she must face in court. From director Kornél Mundruczó (White God, winner of the Prix Un Certain Regard Award, 2014), with artistic support from executive producer Martin Scorsese, and written by Kata Wéber, Mundruczó’s partner, comes a deeply personal, searing domestic aria in exquisite shades of grey and an ultimately transcendent story of a woman learning to live alongside her loss. -

Morricone’s career spanned almost 70 years and included groundbreadking scores for films of many genres. His compositions incorporated music performed by orchestras and ensembles of all sizes, playing many different instruments and even incorporating seemingly non-instrumental sounds such as the famous coyote-like howling in the opening of the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. These films are a list of the 10 most mind- blowing film scores, compiled by Randall Roberts of the LA Times. For Exhibitors Screendollars August 3, 2020 About Films, the Film Industry No. 128 Newsletter and Cinema Advertising God speed and fond remembrances to British filmmaker Alan Parker, who died on Friday at the age of 76. Parker made 15 features over his 25-year career from the mid-1970s through the early-2000’s. He demonstrated unmatched range in style and subject matter in his films, spanning a G-rated musical Bugsy Malone (1976) featuring an all children’s cast to the nearly X-rated voodoo horror film Angel Heart (1987) starring Mickey Rourke and Robert DeNiro. The thread throughout Parker’s films was that they were riveting, memorable and enjoyable creations.
