This study should be seen as a stepping stone towards further research into the UFO and alien tourism industry and provide researchers with a theoretical platform and novel ideas through which to explore the subject. Originality/value – The phenomenon includes an established eclectic mix of attractions and likewise tourist motivations for visiting are wide and diverse. However, the subject lacks academic consideration. Thus, this paper presents original research and timely discussions on the topic.

As a result of it pilot and businessman Kenneth Arnold acquired a fame and notoriety far beyond anything he could ever have envisaged when he took off from Chehalis, Washington, and set a course for Yakima in his little CallAir plane that sunny afternoon. News of what the press dubbed "flying saucers" instantly captured the imagination of the world, and reports of things seen in the sky have ever since continued to fuel one of the 20th century's - and now the 21st's - most widespread, most persistent and most influential popular mythologies. Yet that mythology has effloresced into many extraordinary forms, most of which the Kenneth Arnold of 1947 would hardly have recognised as having anything to do with his own puzzling but straighforward observation. And it is necessary to record that despite more than 60 years of sometimes scholarly debate about this hydra-headed mythological monster, its origins remain not well-understood, its meanings controversial, its ultimate cultural value uncertain.

Some say that the marriage of AI and robotics will usher in an entirely new way of life for us on Earth. Others worry that this change is going to be too dramatic. The great debate over the future of robotics will continue at the World Celebrating July Conference on Robotics and Artificial Intelligence in Barcelona, Spain, on July 26–27. Parks and Recreation Month While some robots look like mechanical people with two arms, two legs, and a talking head, most robots look nothing like humans. Robots are usually controlled Women’s Motorcycle Month by computers, such as those found in a manufacturing facility. Artificial intelligence refers to a machine or robot Ice Cream Month that can learn from its surroundings and adapt to them. Machines are starting to learn in similar ways to human Canada Day beings. They are able to receive signals from their July 1 environment, store those signals as vital information, and modify their behaviors. Both self-driving cars and robot vacuums use this technology. Cars Independence Day (U.S.) simultaneously sense their environment and use July 4 electronic maps and traffic data. They know when to stop and go, what route is the fastest, and what speed Strawberry Sundae Day is the most energy efficient. The Roomba vacuum also July 7 uses sensors to know when to stop and go, which parts of the floor are dirtiest, and when cleanliness has been Ventriloquism Week achieved.

On the afternoon of June 24 that year, an Idaho businessman and private pilot named Kenneth Arnold was flying in his single-engine plane near Mount Rainier in the state of Washington when he saw nine strange objects flying through the sky. They were at about the same altitude as he was, 9,500 feet, perhaps twenty to twenty-five miles away. Every few seconds, he said, “Two or three of them… would dip or change their course slightly, just enough for the sun to strike them at an angle that reflected brightly on my plane.” It was the flashes of sunlight that caught his attention. At first, Arnold assumed they were military jets because of their speed, which, judging the distance between two peaks and noting time it took for them to pass from one to the other, he calculated as more than 1,500 miles an hour. But they were weird looking, somewhat like flat pie pans and didn’t seem to have tails. They were so strange that after landing he told some pilot friends about them. Then he went to an FBI office to report what he’d seen, but the office was closed. So he went to a newspaper office, where he told a reporter what he had seen and reportedly said the objects “flew like a saucer would if you skipped it across the water.” That phrase was included in a story that was sent out over the wires of the Associated Press, and within two days the nation’s press was talking about “flying saucers” and the Age of Flying Saucers began.
