Last month we were thrilled to unveil the latest plans for the Park’s forthcoming cultural and education district. Known collectively as East Bank, the scheme will welcome new buildings for Sadler’s Wells, BBC Music and the V&A, including a partnership with the Smithsonian Institution, as well as University College London and University of the Arts London’s London College of Fashion. This is a hugely ambitious project for the Park and its surrounding area and further establishes our reputation as one of the most dynamic, exciting and forward-thinking areas in London, if not the world! OPEN DOORS: VOTE 100 Ahead of work beginning on site, East Bank partners have been working together to deliver a range of events and projects for the local community and visitors to the Park. From 12 to 6pm on 22 July, the East Bank partners will join forces to host a day of fun and free entertainment at Here East, celebrating 100 years of women’s suffrage with performances, talks and activities. Participants will enjoy a programme of live dance, music and poetry, displays, debates, workshops and screenings suitable for all ages, delivered by a group of world-class cultural and education institutions.
