TV-Producer Bernd Heinz Dear friends of classical-music,
I still remember my first encounter with the outstanding star-tenor José Carreras. It was one of his first appearances after his recovery of leukemia 1988 and one of my first productions of classical music as producer of our company, Multivision.tv. The location was the famous Arena di Verona in Italy. The date: 08.08.1988. An exceptional concert and the medial birth-hour of the “International José Carreras Leukemia-Foundation”! 26 worldwide known classic-stars made their awaiting to Mr. Carreras. Montserrat Caballé, René Kollo, Placido Domingo… He himself came at the very end of the concert with the aria “Granada” from Agustin Lara. And, for the 22.000 spectators in the Arena di Verona, this “Granada” was a rare musically and humanly touching moment.
The famous tenor became a good friend of mine and until today we produced exactly 11 TV- events and documentaries together: the CLASSIC COLLECTION. In our package are 1.000 TV-minutes! Including raw materials, screenplays with comments of Mr. Carreras, the directors etc. and hundreds of production-photos. Also exclusive interviews and music-parts with other major stars, like: Rolando Villazon, Zubin Metha, Thomas Hampson, Daniela Dessi
