Carrion; Footnotes CASH RUN gained the lead inside at the start, went along under careful handling, moved clear on the backstretch, was headed from the outside by CHILUKKI just prior to going six furlongs, regained the advantage about the quarter-mile marker, then, under strong lefthanded encouragement, proved extremely game in the drive. CHILUKKI, well placed from the start while stalking the winner three wide, moved boldly midway on the second turn to put a head in front of CASH RUN from the outside, battled with that one into the final furlong and wasn't good enough. SURFSIDE was hung five or six wide on the first turn, continued wider on the backstretch while outrun, edged in a bit on the second turn when beginning to advance, came out again to race seven or eight wide into the stretch and finished willingly. SPAIN, bumped at the start, moved inside on the backstretch, raced within easy striking distance when angled four wide into the stretch but came up empty late. DARLING MY DARLING, well placed to the far turn while following the leaders four wide, fell back on the second turn, then couldn't threaten while improving position. ASHER broke out at the start and hit the side of the gate, dropped in to race five wide in hand and failed to threaten in an even trip. TALK BACK went up soon after the start to press CASH RUN, continued forwardly until the stretch and weakened. WARRIOR QUEEN, off a bit slow, moved inside on the backstretch, raced within striking distance for six furlongs and weakened thereafter. SCRATCH PAD came out at the start and bumped SPAIN, then was outrun. Copyright 2009 Equibase Company LLC. All Rights Reserved..

STALLION SYNOPSIS: IRISH SURF PREPARED BY: ALAN PORTER PREPARED FOR: THOR-BRED STABLES Pedigree Consultants are able to help you in all facets of your thoroughbred investment. For more information on the services visit www.pedigreeconsultants.com, email [email protected] or call +1 541 590 3303 or +1 516 528 6559. IRISH SURF A track-record breaking graded stakes winner, Irish Surf is by three-time Leading Sire, Giant’s Causeway. The outstanding son of Storm Cat, both as a racehorse and sire, Giant’s Causeway is now a major sire of sires, with eight of his sons having sired grade one winners. Irish Surf’s dam, Champion Three-Year-Old Filly Surfside, is by Seattle Slew out of Champion Two-Year- Old Filly Flanders, and is three-quarters sister to grade one sire Flanders Fields. The cross of Giant's Causeway and sons with Mr. Prospector line mares has been a tremendously successful one, with more than 150 stakes winners. Irish Surf’s second dam is a Champion by Mr. Prospector son, Seeking the Gold, and as Giant’s Causeway sired Champion Two-year-old Filly Take Charge Brandi out of a mare by Seeking the Gold, duplicating that strain is worth considering. Sources of Seeking the Gold that particularly appeal are Mutakddim and Cape Town (both reverse crosses to Surfside). There are seven stakes winners, two grade one, by Giant’s Causeway out mares by Kingmambo, and there are also four stakes winners, one grade one out of mares by Kingmambo son, Lemon Drop Kid, a reverse cross to Surfside.
