Although the measurement of dissolved oxygen in winemaking has recently received much focus, the role of oxygen in wine tasting needs to be further disclosed. This preliminary study aims to explore, for the first time, the effect of swirling glasses of different shapes and sizes on the oxygen content of wine. Experimental trials were designed to simulate real wine tasting conditions. The O2 content after glass swirling was affected to a considerable extent by both the type of wine and the glass shape. A lack of correlation between the shape parameters of five glasses and the O2 content in wine was found which suggests that the nonequilibrium condition can occur during wine tasting. The International Standard Organisation (ISO) glass—considered to be optimal for the wine tasting—allowed less wine oxygenation than any other glass shapes; and the apparent superiority of the ISO glass is tentatively attributed to the more stable oxygen content with time; i.e., less variability in oxygen content than any other glass shape. -

The city has flourished since 1609, and built its reputation as the center of the copper industry in Japan over those 400 years. Casting is a manufacturing process in which a molten metal is poured into a mold to form an object of the desired shape. Every Nousaku product starts with the creation of a sand mold, and then undergoes several finishing processes. Hand-finishing by experienced craftsmen accentuates its material beauty and fineness. Tin Known as the most expensive metal after gold and silver, tin is very malleable and bendable. Though tin resembles silver in its whiteness, it does not rust nor tarnish easily. Also, pure tin is significantly antibacterial and safe for serving foods. An all purpose white wine glass with a proper bowl (in order to allow the wine to breathe) and a stem (to avoid warming up) would also allow us to enjoy Sherry. !! NEVER use a small glass. Size should allow filling up one third with a decent quantity (forget about the so-called “copita”). Catalogue 2020 5 STAR GLASS FOR HOTEL & RESTAURANT en 1 RONA – a glassworks employing over 1000 people in the heart of the European Union, in the Slovak Republic. Its history reaches back to 1892 when it was established by the Schreiber family, once the most prominent glass producer in Europe, in a region where the production of glass traditionally flourished all the way back to the Bronze Age. This was due to a fortunate combination of a heavily forested landscape and the availability of silica sand and fireproof clay - the basic raw materials needed for early glass production. Only a few of the seventy glassworks originally existing in the area survive today but those who do now belong to the avant-garde of modern glass production. The path of RONA has been paved with successes starting with a silver medal awarded to the glassworks’ predecessor during the World Exhibition in Paris in 1867, or the very rarely awarded Honorary Diploma in the World Exhibition in Vienna, to RONA's presentation at the Expo exhibition in Shanghai in 2010, and attendance at the outstanding events of today´s glass world, including major exhibitions around the globe. Since the very beginning, RONA utilized cutting edge technology and was a leader in glass production. RONA introduced many technological improvements that were significant for the development of the whole glass industry. RONA was the first glassworks in the Austro- Hungarian monarchy to launch the production of pressed glass back in 1893.
