[44] Now Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter. John 1:43-46
[45] Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the Law and also the Prophets wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” John 1:43-46
[46] Nathanael said to him, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”

We admire his seeking heart, and his trust in the evidence. John 6:5-7
[5] Therefore Jesus, lifting up His eyes and seeing that a large crowd was coming to Him, said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread, so that these may eat?” John 6:5-7
[6] This He was saying to test him, for He Himself knew what He was intending to do. John 6:5-7
[7] Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, for everyone to receive a little.”

His logic told him that this was impossible. John 12:20-22
[20] Now there were some Greeks among those who were going up to worship at the feast; John 12:20-22
[21] these then came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and began to ask him, saying, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.” John 12:20-22
[22] Philip came and told Andrew; Andrew and Philip came and told Jesus.

Was he worried about messing up? John 14:7-9
[7] “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.” John 14:7-9
[8] Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” John 14:7-9
[9] Jesus said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
