Pelan Induk Pembangunan Majlis Daerah Tanjong

Under the so called Perak Amanjaya Development Plan, some of the things that we have tried to do are the same things that I believe many others here are concerned about: first, balanced development and economic distribution between the urban and rural areas by focusing on developing small towns; second, poverty eradication regardless of race or religion so that no one remains on the fringes of society or is left behind economically; and, third, youth empowerment. Under the first one, the state identifies viable small- and medium-size companies which can operate from small towns. These companies are to be working closely with the state government to boost the economy of the respective areas. -

Influence of Seasonal Rainfall to the Water Quality of Slim River Lake in Perak, Malaysia
Plant Archives Volume 20 No. 1, 2020 pp. 2191-2198 e-ISSN:2581-6063 (online), ISSN:0972-5210 INFLUENCE OF SEASONAL RAINFALL TO THE WATER QUALITY OF SLIM RIVER LAKE IN PERAK, MALAYSIA Yonis Ahmed Kitan* and Som Cit Si Nang Department of Biology, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Sultan Idris Education University, 35900 Tanjong Malim, Perak Darul Ridzuan, Malaysia Abstract Rapid pace of development surrounding many lake catchments substantially affects the waterbody quality, thus causing public health concerns, threats to endangered aquatic species, aesthetic issues and algal blooms. This study assessed physicochemical and biological profiles of water quality in Slim River Lake (Perak, Malaysia), and relate with rainfall. On-site and laboratory analyses performed include turbidity, dissolved oxygen (DO), total nitrogen, total phosphorus, water temperature, chlorophyll-a and cyanobacteria biovolume. The effects of rainfall on the lake’s water quality were analysed based on the Pearson correlation analysis. Results showed a significant correlation between rainfall and water temperature (r = 0.480 p < 0.01), total phosphorus (r = 0.478, p < 0.01) and DO (r = -0.406, p < 0.05). In addition, the results also showed a positive correlation between the rainfall and biovolume of Phormidium spp. test (r = 0.372, p < 0.05). This study provides significant contribution on the impact of seasonal rainfall to the variability of physical, chemical and biological profiles of the lake ecosystem, and reflected its health status and pollution. Key words: Eutrophication, Lakes, Water quality, Slim River Lake, Rainfall Introduction lake’s water quality. These efforts were taken to prevent lake degradation from happening and to ensure adequate Lake has performed a variety of functions including management and remediation efforts are made to restore water source, drainage, food supply, flood control, its stability (Zaki et al., 2014; Vogt et al., 2018). -
Water Flow Prediction in Perak River Using Thin Plate Spline Basis Function Neural Network
Water Flow Prediction in Perak River using Thin Plate Spline Basis Function Neural Network By Ahmad Fakharuden Yahya Bin Abd Rahim 15190 Dissertation submitted in partial fulfilment of The requirements for the Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) (Civil) JANUARY 2014 Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS Bandar Seri Iskandar 31750 Tronoh Perak Darul Ridzuan 1 CERTIFICATION OF APPROVAL Water Flow Prediction in Perak River using Thin Plate Spline Basis Function Neural Network By Ahmad Fakharuden Yahya Bin Abd Rahim 15190 A project dissertation submitted to the Civil Engineering Programme Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS in partial fulfilment of the requirement for the BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING (Hons) (CIVIL) Approved By, _________________ (Dr.Muhammad Raza Ul Mustafa) UNIVERSITI TEKNOLOGI PETRONAS TRONOH, PERAK August, 2014 2 ABSTRACT Radial Basis Function Neural Network (ANN) technique has been found to be one of the most powerful tool use to predict the values of water discharge in Perak River. This technique has been proven to be the best alternatives to replace the previous forecasting technique such as Linear Regression Analysis and Flow Rating Curve which are less suitable to be applied to predict the non-linear stage and discharge data. The specific discharge data analysed from the developed Thin Plate Spline Basis function were important and crucial for the operational of river water management such as flood control system and construction of hydraulic structures, hence contribute towards the relevancy of this research paper. The data of the water level which were used as the input and discharge as the output were equally important for the training and testing purpose and those are taken for the three most recent years of 2011, 2012 and 2013. -

It is now cost effective to image large areas of the riverbed using these techniques and the backscatter image created from surveys provides base line data from which thematic maps of the riverbed environment including maps of morphological geology, can be derived when interpreted in conjunction with in situ sampling data. This article focuses on investigation characteristics of sediments and correlation of side scan backscatter image with signal strength. The interpretation of acoustic backscatter rely on experienced interpretation by eye of grey scale images produced from the data. A 990F Starfish Side Scan Sonar was used to collect and develop a series of sonar images along 6 km of Hulu Sungai Perak. -

10.45Am Service at St. Tudy War Memorial Followed by CRYING OUT
10.45am Service at St. Tudy War Memorial followed by CRYING OUT FOR PEACE RINGING of ONE Bell 75 times, one for each year since VJ Day - 15th August 1945 Robin Thwaites, the new Curate, welcomed Villagers to the Service of Commemoration and reminded all present of the restrictions regarding Covid-19, asking all to remember to socially distance. Colonel Rupert Nicholas OBE then spoke for a few minutes about the experiences of the men who endured so much in the Far East campaign and gave a short account of his father’s service and experiences. This was then followed by the laying of the wreaths on behalf of the Historical Society, the Parish Council, and the Village Hall. Ten Villagers were known to have had a relation who took part in the fighting and the ten each laid a Cross of Remembrance for their father, uncle, aunt, or grandfather. The Exhortation was then read out, all joined in the refrain before the Last Post was sounded prior to the two-minute silence and Reveille. Prayers were then led by the Curate before ‘The Cry for Peace’ after which one single bell was run 75 times to mark the years since the end of WW2. The service concluded with the saying of the National Anthem as singing, at the time of the service, was not permitted. 15th August 1945 marked the end of WW2 after six years of conflict involving many countries from around the world. After the defeat of Nazi Germany in Europe, thousands of troops in East Asia fought on until Japan’s surrender, with many not returning home until 1946.
