Dear 4-H Volunteers & Families

Dear 4-H Volunteers & Families, Welcome to the beginning of the “busy season” in Seneca County 4-H. I understand many of the clubs and families are already quite busy working on projects and holding meetings. Now is the time here in the office, that we begin to finalize plans and prepare for the events that showcase the hard work and talent of clubs and their members. I thank you for your time and effort.

4-H camp has 86 campers and 25 counselors that will be camping on Kelly’s Island over Father’s Day weekend. Thank you to the Jr. Fair Foundation and The Union Grange for helping with costs of camp.

The Kick Off event was well attended and everyone seemed to enjoy it. There were 18 clubs that had games set up. A big thank you to Michelle E. Zimmerman of Landing Point Financial Group. They donated all of the pizza, pop, and breadsticks for the evening. Also thank you to the individuals that brought in snacks for the food table.

It is important to read through this newsletter. Many important dates and times are included. Some things from years past have been omitted to make for easier reading. Plan to pick up a copy of the Jr. Fair book, it will serve as a handy reference guide and help answer questions.

Have a fun and safe month of June!

Sincerely, Jason Sidell Extension Educator 4-H Youth Development
