Minutes of the Planning Committee Held at Exeter Hall, Oxford Road, Kidlington on Thursday 20th April 2006.

The Administrative Assistant reported that Cllr Tracey Wyse signed her declaration statement on April 11th 2006 in the presence of the Clerk Mrs T Redpath.

The minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee held on March 16th 2006 were agreed and signed as a true record with the following amendments:-

239. Matters Arising from the Minutes of the Meeting held on 16th March 2006:
i) Minute 236
The Administrative Assistant reported that following liaison with the Clerk an invitation to a representative from Kidlington Airport to address the next full Council will be arranged.
ii) Minute 237
The Administrative Assistant reported that following liaison with the Clerk an invitation to a representative from Begbroke Science Park to address a full council meeting will be arranged for the future.

Resolved: that the following comment be forwarded to the Planning Inspectorate:
Kidlington Parish Council object to this application on the following grounds: - 1) Overdevelopment of site, small plot with minimal garden 2) Insufficient amenity space 3) Inappropriate development incompatible with the character of the residential area 4) Hard standing for parking spaces in the green strip of land to the front of the proposal, Kidlington has the least area of green space in the Cherwell District. The proposal is contrary to policies C28, C30 and C31 of the adopted Cherwell Local Plan. The Parish Council has received many objections from local residents.

The Administrative Assistant reported that the Draft South East Plan and associated documents are in the Parish Office for reference.
Comments are being invited on the Draft South East Regional Spatial Strategy (RSS) by June 23rd 2006.
The item will be on the Agenda for the Annual Parish Council Meeting on May 11th 2006 when comments will be decided.
248. Cherwell District Council – Cherwell, Banbury and North Cherwell Site Allocations Development Plan.

It was agreed that the document was not relevant to Kidlington.
