Littleton-Lake Gaston Festival PO Box 431 Littleton, NC 27850 September 2nd & September 3rd, 2016

January 28, 2016 Dear Food Vendors:

Our plans for the 2016 Littleton-Lake Gaston Festival are underway and we continue to look forward to another year of good weather and large numbers of people attending the events we have planned. The Festival format will continue with the Friday evening food court opening at 5pm. A town-wide block dance with live, beach music will begin about 7pm and last until 10pm. Saturday, the festival opens at 10am and lasts until 4pm. We will have a Classic Car Show, Carnival Rides, a Crafters/Vendors Midway, and Live Musical Entertainment throughout the day.

The Food Court will be in the gravel/grass area next to Casa Mia Restaurant. Your total set up space is 20’ by 20’. All of your equipment must fit in that space as we do not have a way to stretch our limited area. You may arrive on Friday after 7am to set up. Food and fire inspectors will be on the scene at 2 pm. We encourage you to arrive early, as late arrivals may have to be assigned a different spot. Backup generators are a good idea…we request you use a quiet generator.

A 30’ by 30’ tent with tables and chairs will be set up in the center of the food court. Running water and the power indicated on your application will be available. An ice trailer will have ice for purchase at our cost. Each 20’ by 20’ space is $120 for commercial vendors and $80 for non-profit organizations.

Food vendor applications are due by: Wednesday, April 22nd, 2016

We will notify food vendors of their acceptance on April 30 th. Any refunds due will be sent out at this time. Cancellations for a full refund can be made up to August 1st. There is no backup rain date for the Festival. We will mail you an information update and map showing your location on August 14th...

 The configuration of the food court will have a U shape to allow better access to all vendors  Menus must be submitted with the application.  Menus submitted will help reduce multiples of some key food items. This does not mean, for example, that there will only be one vendor selling shaved ice, but it will help reduce the number selling that item. Each food vendor must post a menu with prices easily visible to customers.  Indicate any specific electrical requirements on your application  The restrictions on parking personal and support vehicles in the concession area will be strictly enforced. Food Vendor parking will be available along the gravel railroad path leading to the food court  Please contact Halifax County Health Department: 252-583-5021 to assure county health/license requirements are met  Vendors are not allowed to serve Pork BBQ or to sell carbonated beverages. This rule will be strictly enforced. Offending vendors may be required to “close up shop without a refund”

If you have questions or special requirements, please note them on the application or contact us.
