Royalty Responsibilities: Must be on your best behavior in every appearance. Present a positive attitude and be willing to help in any way that best promotes the TCAFAS organization. Attend all (to most) events set by the royalty coordinators. Events may include parades, rodeos, and the Teller County fair (see list). If you are unable to attend an event you must contact your coordinators no less than two (2) days prior to the event to get approval of your absences. (Sudden illness accepted) If Royalty is a student they must meet their school’s eligibility requirements to participate. Proof of eligibility is required from the school at each monthly meeting.

Conduct: Professional image and language will be used at all times. Royalty should conduct them self’s as if they are in the Crown at all time to include social media pictures and posts. NO CHEWING GUM! (While in crown) NO TEXTING or TALKING on cell phones during an event (unless it is to the TCAFAS coordinator). There will be no hesitation if asked to surrender you phone. NO DRINKING, DRUGS, SMOKING, OR CHEWING TOBACCO IN OR OUT OF CROWN. BOYFRIENDS: . NO outward displays of affection. . Will NOT be a constant companion. We will use a 3-strikes your out policy. Although Royalty can be released from their duties/responsibilities at the coordinators discretion with the majority approval from the TCAFAS board. Appearance: When representing the TCAFAS organization you must wear your Crown, sash, cowboy hat, and colored or dark blue jeans (without holes) with a long sleeve button up shirt. If you have facial pricings it must be removed during all event representing TCAFAS Hair and outfits will be coordinated on an event by event basis. Boots should be clean and presentable (i.e. polished). Long sleeved shirts must be tucked in or cinched in with a belt overtop.
Horse: Ownership of a horse is not required Horsemanship will be thought throughout the year Queen and Lady in Waiting will be required to ride in grand entries at the Coordinators discretion. Must provide your own transportation. Must ride a safe and controlled horse at all times. Tack and horse should be clean at all times.

TCAFAS Royalties Parents/Guardians
As the parent/guardian of the TCAFAS Royalty you will be asked to provide transportation to events. Also there will be a financial need to support the royalty during their term. This includes gas money, clothing, and accommodations. During the reign of your royalty from time to time there will be photographs taken at events they will attend. These photographs may be used for purposes such as promotional (i.e. flyers and brochures), publications (i.e. fair books), and the TCAFAS websites and Facebook pages. Images that might cause embarrassment, or portray the participants in a negative light will not be used. The TCAFAS board and royalty coordinators along with you as parent/guardian will examine all pictures being posted to enable us to decide what not to display. Along with photographs there will be information about the royalty along with their first and last names posted on the website, Facebook pages, and business cards. These may also include contact information (i.e. email address, mailing address, and phone numbers). Everything that will be posted on the website, Facebook pages, or business cards will be shown to parent/guardian before being posted As TCAFAS Royalties parent/guardian: As a parent/guardian I understand that the roll of Royalty is a servant/leader position. They will serve the TCAFAS board and community during their rein and will display leadership qualities at all times. All Royalty are treated equally, they will work as a team to make this a successful rein. I understand I will have to provide transportation and some financial support. I allow the TCAFAS board and Royalty coordinators to post positive images of my

There will be a minimum of 1 meeting a month between Royalty and coordinators. Events: Woodland Park Parade of Lights Cripple Creek Christmas Parade Victor Gold Rush Days Parade Cripple Creek Donkey Derby Days Teller County Fair Teller County 4H Awards Ceremony Colorado Association of Fairs and Shows El Paso County Fair Luncheon and Grand Entry Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo Parade Canon City Blossom Festival Parade Woodland Park 4th of July Celebration Colorado State Fair Grand Entry Cripple Creek Veterans parade Ute pass stampede (Woodland Park Rodeo)
These events are set forth to be attended if anything should come up to which an event cannot be attended let your coordinator know a minimum of 2 days prior. If there is an event not listed that you as TCAFAS Royalty would like to attend let your coordinator know in advance. Also, if the coordinators choose to add an event they will give you advance notice.

5:30 pm Be at the arena to warm up, must have split reins and ride with left hand wearing western attire. 6:00 pm Horsemanship We will be using the #1 reining pattern 7:00 pm Personal Interviews and dinner You will have time to change into a Long-sleeved shirt and a skirt for interviews and modeling 8:00 pm Speeches The Queen will give a 4 minute speech The Princess will give a 2 minute speech 8:30 pm Modeling
