We have a new vacancy on our School Site Council (SSC) and will need to fill one parent member position. Please consider nominating yourself as a candidate for this position by completing the form on page 2 of this document.

We have a new vacancy on our School Site Council (SSC) and will need to fill one parent member position. Please consider nominating yourself as a candidate for this position by completing the attached form. Serving on the School Site Council requires no prior experience and is a great way to provide input and to be involved in the school oversight. Membership requires attendance at one meeting each month (held on Tuesdays from 3:00pm to 4:00pm). Please see below for a brief overview of the function of the SSC.

The School Site Council (SSC) is composed of parents, teachers, classified staff, and administration. The council is a key advisory group in the decision-making regarding the school site budget and in overseeing the Single Plan for Student Achievement, which sets goals for the school.

The deadline for submitting nomination forms is September 30, 2014. Ballots will subsequently be sent out to parents and a new member will be selected. If you have questions about this or would like more information about serving on the SSC, please do not hesitate to contact me ([email protected]).
