A. Montoya Hosts Winter Celebration: A. Montoya Elementary hosts a Winter Celebration with games, crafts, silent auction, and art sale from 3-6 p.m., Friday, Dec. 11, at the school at 24 Public School Rd., in Tijeras.

Manzano Band Hosting Jazz Concert: Tickets are on sale at Baum’s Music in Rio Rancho, Grandma’s Music & Sound on Coors, or Baum’s Music on Eubank for a 6:30 p.m., Dec. 11 concert at the Manzano High Performing Arts Center. The concert will feature the Albuquerque Jazz Orchestra with special guest and world-renowned drummer Butch Miles. Cost is $10 for students and $15 for general public. Bartlett Environmental Education Award, which recognizes educators who serve as role models for students and other teachers by integrating environmental education into their daily curriculum.
